    NEED AVICE ON V6 EXHAUST

I'd say yes. If not for the minimal performance gain, but spending $50 for an increase of 2MPG will save you money in the long run on gas.

    NEED AVICE ON V6 EXHAUST

The underdrive pulley should be larger than the stock one. Having it larger would mean that it undergoes less rotation than a smaller pulley at the same RPM. Less rotation means the belts turn the other pulleys less, and thus slow down the accessories.

Got 3rd place this weekend in Carlisle @ All Ford Nationals

I wish I had known about that, I would've been there with ya. I'm in NOVA. Are you going to the event in Manassas in like a week or two. I think it's June, I'll have to double check.

    Exhaust! Yay!

It sounds a lot better, and I've had quite a few compliments on it, and my rice-experiences have practically quadrupled. I get much more attempts at racing and fly-bys than I did before, which is the exact crowd I didn't want the attention from. Yeah, I could probably beat all the Integras an...

    2000 Exhaust Options

No cross pipe needed because the V6 has an even firing scheme, which means that the exhaust doesn't need an alternate route to travel. The V8 needs a cross pipe because it usually has two cylinders one one bank firing after the other, and the exhaust from each needs more space to go to. Long...

    Exhaust! Yay!

A little harsh? Eh, try extremely harsh. Damn, I post about a new mod I get and you start raggin on me.

    Exhaust! Yay!

Well it's finally fixed. Took like 15 minutes to fix, 5 to jack the car up (I'm too lazy and weak), 8 to loosen/angle/tighten bolts and mufflers, and 2 to get it on the ground. Took another 5 to pump air into tires, now at 35psi and ready for action :D

    Exhaust! Yay!

Finally got my exhaust on this weekend after two weekends of having to order more parts. I found my camera today, so here's two quickie shots of it. I should have a vid by Saturday of it in action. It sounds awesome! :) Now I just have to make some minor adjustments to the positioning of...

    shes studdering!

That tube equalizes the pressure inside the engine. It's pretty important. Make sure it seals to the intake properly, and that there are no leaks from that hose or any of the CAI connections.

    muffler hanger question

Yes, and had I known about that earlier, I would've ordered one alongside my purchase of the kit. I had to go to my Ford dealer and order the passenger side muffler hanger, and both side exhaust tip hangers. It says no cutting required, yet I had to cut my stock exhaust to get it over the...

    ebay cold air intake scams

Eh, I bought the V6 one from Mac and I still had to go underneath the car to put the filter on.

    autoshifting....bad?!?!!

It's not going to destroy your transmission when you do it (unless you do a neutral drop, which can eat a transmission like a piece of candy), but it does degrade the life of your transmission, and is certainly not healthy for it by any means.

    Installed Cold Air Intake, now...

I usually have my windows down and my stereo up, so I don't hear it too much. But when I first start my car, I hear it loud and clear.

    Spiralmax

It has no performance gain at all. It's restricting the air flow to your engine if anything. If you think about it, it has no benefit. It sits in your intake, and spins. It supposedly acts as a turbo with the impeller "forcing" air into the engine. Well, if there's no outside source...

    v6 performance parts

That's not true. I lived in NY for 2 years and drove a RWD car perfectly fine on ice and snow and I was 16. I could throw the rear any which way I wanted to and be able to compensate and not hit anything. Driving experience is driving experience, and is independent from age.

    +20 HP chips on ebay?

They aren't chips. They're resistors. They tell your intake air thermo that the air coming in is colder than it is, forcer more gas into the engine, thus burning more gas. Burning more gas = more power produced. It's dumb, don't waste your money. Get real mods, like CAI or exhaust.

    Ebay CAI Seriously?

Actually I got a V6 because I didn't want to pay over $300 a month for insurance. I could easily afford a GT, but I choose not to.
  19. PonyJoe

    Ebay CAI Seriously?

Yes, but I'd still just spend the $90 for name brand just because I can. Like I said though, it's just my preference, and to each his own :)
