Mach 460 readout "Bad" on display?

I'd say just replace it with a nice aftermarket head unit. You will have to buy a converter for it though (about $40) Scosche makes one, you can find all the stuff at Crutchfield. Read this thread. http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=442044

    Help with shocks for cobra?

Tokico has both adjustable and non adjustable ones and they are pretty reasonable. That's what the majority of people here are using. Are you looking for springs as well, can't really understand what you meant in your message. Steeda has springs that will lower your ride height approximately 1...

    98 Cobra Clutch Adjustment?

Pull up on the clutch pedal with your foot. Pull up against the stop, now slowly push the pedal down all the way and you should hear a faint click. The quadrant under the dash has taken up some of the slack from the cable. Do this about every 2000 miles or so. Hope this solves it.

Is your Cobra your daily driver? Could it be?

For four years my Cobra was my daily driver, driving a total of 40 miles of highway driving per day. Now I have another car for work because I was racking up some mileage. The car ran great, I just was getting used to driving it every day and the interior was starting to show some wear.

New Dupont line of Waxes and protectants

I cannot understand why they would create such a product. Several years ago, a lot of detailing waxes, especially the professional line of waxes that various companies make, touted that their product used Teflon to achieve impressive results..blah..blah. Then DuPont came out with a company...

you ever have trouble shifting to 2nd while turning?

I think the reason you are having problems shifting while turning is because you are fighting the centrifugal force that is lifting you out of the seat. While that is happening, your right arm may be in a different postion than when you are driving straight ahead.

    How many miles you have?

I'm on the other side of the coin. I say get a beater for work. I had an '84 SVO that was my only driver for 13 years and it had over 200.000 miles on it. And in the end, the frame got tired, the interior was worn, the driver's side seat was toast, parts started failing and in the end it looked...

    Useless suspension mods???

Those springs create quite a bit of a drop, about 2" if I'm not mistakened. You will need C/C plates. As for dampeners, if you are going to drive the car on a road course, then adjustable shocks would be nice and the Tokico's are not terribly expensive.

    Cobra Tire Problem

I have the same tires. Do the same side font to back. What does it sound like? I have a slight sound by the driver's side rear. It is a slight "whump whump whump' sound. Trying to figure out if it's the tire or rim or maybe a bearing noise.

    stock shocks?

Stock are Ford units, more than likely made by Monroe. I had Koni reds on my '84 SVO, they finally gave out at around 160.000 miles. Those are the last shocks and struts you will probably ever need for that car. You got lucky!

    need help with cleaning paint

A polish is a good idea. It replaces the natural oils that are in the clear. I would recommend first to clay bar, polish, then use the NXT wax. That wax will also get rid of the light swirl marks. Also, when you wax by hand; try applying it with back and forth strokes instead of a circular...

HOW TO CLEAN ENGINE BAY THREAD. how do you clean it??

Don't use that Castrol Super Clean, it's too strong. I used that once on my SVO when the engine was out of it and it took the paint off right down to the primer! I use Simple Green Automotive. I used to use Meguiars Extra cleaner but can't find that stuff anymore in the stores.
