    Am I running hot?

If your tap water is really that bad then it might not be a good idea. Is it Flourine or Chlorine?

    Installing a pi Intake

I'm still waiting for somebody with real, not hearsay, data to dis-prove anything I have posted. I'm waiting. Anybody with any kind of working experience with cylinder flow dynamics, or more specifically, CFD (computational fluid dynamics) knows that it’s a simple fact that without a correctly...

    Installing a pi Intake

I didn't make the adaptor plates and never claimed to. You should learn to read more carefully before making knee jerk comments. The adaptor plates were given to me by another shop who got them from a magazine to do some testing. We get stuff like that all the time. Very common for those in the...

    Coolant in spark plug holes

I don't know if could call it a writeup, just some tips I was thinking of off the top of my head.:) http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=683686

    Fuel pressure

If you just replaced the pump, it's probably the FP regulator. The diaphragms inside just give up after a while.

    Am I running hot?

In my expereince, tap water is actually better than the use of distilled water in an automotive coolant system. The primary reason is that purified or distilled water, can actually have a defervescence effect, effectively raising the boiling point of the coolant system. That's not a good thing...

    All supercharged applications...help me out...

I have driven and tuned on many centrifugal modulars and even owned a Procharged 5.0. None of the centrifugal cars I have driven or tuned had any of this "lag" or a wait for boost. The instant you downshift you are in boost, if not something is wrong. Given perfect traction, a roots/screw can...

    Am I running hot?

The 4 valves can be tricky to bleed. This is what I do. 1. Drill a 1/8" hole in the plate of the t-stat. This allows both sides of the system to equalize and it will also assist in allowing the motor to warm up quicker and aids in bleeding. 2. Raise the front of the car. 3. Fill the...

    Fuel pressure

Well the book says: Key On Engine Off (KOEO) Fuel Pressure 25-40 psi (172-275 kPa) Key On Engine Running (KOER) Fuel Pressure 35-50 psi (172-275 kPa) BUT, most healty cars will have at least 39-42 PSI at idle with the vacuum hose on, and with the vacuum hose off (WOT) you should not...

    fuel pressure

The best was is to take a mechanical gauge and tape it to your windshield and go for a ride. You can also datalog your WOT fuel pressure. Sometimes the datalogs monitor the fuel pressure in KPA. Just mulitiply the KPA by 0.145 to get PSI. My fuel presure at WOT without the N20 was right...

    Coolant in spark plug holes

I agree with Smokeurhonda. It would be a good idea to let your COP's dry out for a good day since you said their was so much coolant around the plugs. You can quickly fry a COP with moisture still inside the boot. Don't forget to put some di-electric grease between the COP spring and plugs.

Livernois claims their adapator plates will allow for stock hood clearance. Just out of curiousity, do you have a link or any other info on those for $90? Thanks.:)

    Installing a pi Intake

Dustbuster, that was about 6-7 years ago, and unfortunately my memory just isn't that good sometimes, which is bad cause I'm not old!:D I'll have to ask Matt or Ronnie if they remember. I would think I would have remembered if it was the Livernois adapator, but I really can't say for sure...

    What is this?

You know, I'm glad you went and looked at that thing, because I never would have.:) I just looked at a few I had here and they are all hollow just like yours. That's so strange that all the service/parts manuals refer to them as a filter. Who knows.:) After looking at it more closely, it...

    Installing a pi Intake

LOL, that could start a whole other thread on if more CFM is better or not. But, generally speaking yes. The first graph represents the flow data from the non_PI head flowed by itself with no intake. The next 2 are with the PI intake bolted to the head and then flowed. Whenever you flow a...

    Finding a vac leak?

Soapy water can be used to look for a small leak in a tire, but it would do nothing for a vacuum leak. Bubbles are made by pressure not vacuum.:D

    Installing a pi Intake

We had this debate in our shop a long time ago when we heard that guys were trying to use RTV the somehow adapt these PI intakes to a non-PI head. We thought it was a joke at first, but sure enough they were serious. Then due to popular demand from customers and friends, we were asked to use our...

    dry vs wet

Better is a relative term. It all depends on the application. Bottle pressure is important on a wet setup since the fuel solenoid doesn't care what the bottle pressure is, but that's why you should utilize a bottle heater and a quality liquid filled bottle pressure gauge. But that doesn't...

    Installing a pi Intake

Modified fuel injection pattern??? The only thing that will change your fuel injector pattern is to change the fuel injector itself period. Moving the bottom of the intake manifold runner up a little doesn't hurt anything, in fact it helps to promote fuel atomization and produces a little more...
