    Yep, the Dayco part numbers are the same way. Once the belt has tension on it and is heat cycled, they will stretch about 3-4 tenths of an inch. That's why they come just a little short when they are new.

    Well the thing is the PCM gets a fairly accurate coolant reading, the gauge in your cluster does not. I wouldn't put much faith in your stock engine water temp gauge. T-stats can stick and prevent coolant from properly circulating and cause hot spots especially in the heads. Like Ed...

    Vacuum leaks rear their ugly head mostly at idle when the throttle blade is closed and aren't always consistent. You can send me the data log file(csv) and I will take a look at it. Did you do the logging when it was doing this at idle?

    PCM's can have a mind of their own and they will do all sorts of weird stuff. Sometimes after a recalibration or re-flash upload to the EEPROM, the fans will come on and that's it, no start no nothing.:) What that means when just the fans come on is that the communication somehow got hosed...

    Idle?

    There are lot's of things that can cause that. The primary 3 would be a significant vacuum leak, bad TPS(throttle position) sensor, or a dirty or malfunctioning MAF sensor. I would first start by checking for vacuum leaks.

    It's possible that your motor got hot and caused that leak. I would check your t-stat just to make sure. If you have any doubts, just replace it.

    We have rag joints (vibration dampers) and it is sorta hit or miss whether or not the headers will screw up the rag joint. So far my coated BBK's have not hurt my rag joint after almost a year.

    Yes, it's very possible that the pin was seizing and dragging one of the pads. Did you lube all the pins really well?
