    T-lok

everyone with a GT has it. The T-Loc is the standard LS differential. It is a good unit, time tested. It does have to be rebuilt occasionally depending on use but so do alot of friction parts ie; brakes, clutch, fan belts, tires, etc. For the price it's a good buy, you can rebuild it a few times...

Frustration! What do I need to put a GT-style grille on a V6?

I like that grill. The lights are a little closer together, but still room for the pony. I did the center fog grill but had to lose the big, chrome pony, too bad, I like that.

Frustration! What do I need to put a GT-style grille on a V6?

here's the first one I found when I typed 'mustang V6 grill' into a search engine, I don't care for this one, I like the honeycomb style as it matches the factory hood scoop, but there's alot of them out there. This one is a little spendy too; Mustang V6 Black Replacement Main Grill with...

    acceleration

yes, buy a tune or a tuner that has a good reputation with automatics. I think Brenspeed is well versed in automatics. Or you buy buy a tuner with a stock tune and have Brenspeed, Blow by racing or many other companies e-mail you a tune specifically for what you want.

Frustration! What do I need to put a GT-style grille on a V6?

here's what you'll need; a GT 'styled' grill to fit a V6 fascia. $125-$250 depending on who's you buy 2 GT fog lights, $100-ish if you go with factory parts from newtakeoff. 1 wiring harness, $80-$150 depending on which of these you buy. The cheaper one has a rocker switch that mounts...

    Poll: Vote for the Stang

that's actually a very cool conversion since the 90's caprice/impala came with an LT1 anyway. Everything fits right in and you have the ultimate sleeper than you can sleep in. I thought the Impala SS from the mid-late 90's was a cool car. 260 hp V8, and blacked (or marooned) out.

    Take that elitist prius drivers

that's what second and third gears are for, plus a little flash of; "you're number 1" !! Besides, like someone else said, look at all the gas they save that we get to use doing smoky burnouts and 6 grand shifts as we blow by the little, ugly bastard prius'.

    Seafoam is teh *****!

well, it may be all groovy for you all, but never, ever, ever will I pour solvent into any of my cars. But I'm glad you all like it so well. Different strokes for everyone of us I guess.

    Poll: Vote for the Stang

yea dude, the Magnum wagon, the 300, the Challenger and the Charger, all based on the same unibody. All have the same engine, trans and rear wheel drive package. 2.7 and 3.5 liter V6's, and 5.7 and 6.1 V8 hemis. I saw a Dodge Magnum wagon w/a Chrysler 300 nose on it, best looking combo of the...

    I can't get no traction

ah, so you've already gone this route and checked the lash. the t/c light part I can't answer as I don't know. I'd go to Bama and ask. I would think if the tune turned off the t/c it wouldn't have an effect on the simple light from the switch.

    I can't get no traction

does your tune have the traction control permanently disabled ? Maybe it's why yours doesn't work at all ? You mentioned a Bama tune. as for the backlash, with the 2 piece driveshaft all these cars have alot of slop in the driveline. A 1 piece driveshaft fixes alot of it. A better diff...

    I can't get no traction

do you sing; "I CAN'T GET NO, satis-TRACTION. I CAN'T GET ME NO" ,,,,,, hahahahaa

    I can't get no traction

yea, was gonna say that. High performance car, can't drive it like a 4 cyl auto POS. It can bite you, but it does keep you on your toes. I like that in a car, a bit of danger. The good kind of danger, danger from power, not the bad kind of danger, you know, no brakes, stuff flying off, smoke...

    Poll: Vote for the Stang

from the looks of that site, anyone voting (but us Mustang people) knows nothing about cars. The poll is for 'your favorite' car. Like what ? Looks, performance ? Colors ? The Challenger is in the lead, which as we all know is a rebodied Chrysler 300. Overweight, non-handling and huge. Sounds...

    conversion exhaust

If you're looking for just mufflers you can buy them from NTO for $80. But that won't get you a true dual conversion. They're $300 plus shipping and it comes w/GT take off mufflers. Or you can buy the same Pypes true dual conversion without mufflers for,,,,, yea, $300 plus shipping. Seems...

    I can't get no traction

I know Ford factored in a little wheel spin with the traction control. It must vary a little from car to car though. My t/c is immediate, just shuts the whole thing down instantly and violently. If it's not wet out I just run with the t/c off. Your car must be on the opposite end of the slippage...

    Brakes Question

the GT take off rotors are a good option, but you have to have 17" wheels. The calipers for both the GT and the V6 are the same, so you can re-use your V6 calipers but you'll need the GT caliper mounting brackets. If you do indeed have a stuck piston in your caliper you might as well buy the...

Newbie, new Mustang (and Ford in general) convert

speaking of the GTO, which I honestly kinda liked although it was pretty plain looking, Anyway, new Camaro=old GTO, yea, same architecture. Wonder why it weighs so much, has IRS and is UGLY. Can you say Holden ? Ah, I thought you could.

    Stripe Removal

good info, probably would have been just as good without the spray on stuff though. I pulled them off my wife's car, hair dryer, made sure they were warm, and peeled them off. No residue left at all hardly, a llittle wash, a little wax and you couldn't tell where they were.

worse comes to worse you could always throw in a can of octane booster.
