    Rear independent suspension

A decent model to work from: http://www.mineralarea.com/gearwood/mustangair.shtml

    AOD Crossmember????

I talked to NC. They are the main distribution center for the other stores. I would not set my watch to it, but this is what they claimed. To think I walked by a guy with a little booth at Carlisle a couple years ago that had 'em right there for $80 ... never thought I'd be needing one :nonono:

The Day the Earth Stood Still

That was in the 2000 season. TCP just started nationwide marketing of the products you are so against that same year with features on Hot Rod TV and My Classic Car. How have you done since?

    AOD Crossmember????

I am waiting on NPD. They said 30 in this week with only 16 already sold. I gave up on Sacramento Mustang. I was considering Windsor Fox or Ron Morris as well but NPD had the best pricing next to Sacramento. I can only wait so long myself.

    Brake conversion kits

Rear brakes should only account for 29% of braking. YES, drums are more than adequate in the rear. You go with discs to shave weight or for appearance.

    Historic's suspension set up.

:fuss: Thanks man. I was pretty sure we were all settled down here and some actual attitude adjustment had taken place ... then I saw the rehash and the old :bang: :bang: :bang: . So be it :spot:

Engine limiters, BF chain, or Torq limiters

Nick, In all honesty that does not look like a fuel system that will support 400hp... I'll likely be proven wrong but you are starving that puppy.

Engine limiters, BF chain, or Torq limiters

Bolt through the rubber mount will work wonders too. I used 2 large carriage bolts through the driver side mount. Ground the tops flat and welded the nuts on the backside. Has held strong for 5+ years or so now. Before that I ripped 2 mounts in under 200 miles. If you have aluminum heads...

    Wilwood vs. SSBC

You can probably figure out which one is me here: http://www.dodgestang.com/Tire%20Fitment%20Guide%2067-8.pdf

    Wilwood vs. SSBC

The fronts are marginal it was an 1/16" or so, maybe 1/8" tops. Baer gave me the number 2 years ago so I forget. The rears change quite a bit though. I'm thinking it was 3/4" or so.... BTW mine did not include the master cylinder or any hardline from Baer. That is only included on the...

    Wilwood vs. SSBC

THE BAER SETUP IS WORTH EVERY PENNY. I'm going to add a 2003 gallery soon, been under the car too much to work on the site. Did you follow the "Phase 2" link? That's about 1.5 years out of date but close. Basically I went from stock drums, to Granadas, to Aerospace Components, to Baer ... so...

    Historic's suspension set up.

Thanks. Although on the surface it looks like people are disagreeing here, for the most part we are actually agreeing. I don't claim to know "the way" to do anything, I can only offer what I have experienced and my opinion on things that don't look too good or stuff I have read here...

    Wilwood vs. SSBC

Race cars are meant to be abused, that's why you tear through 'em after every race and go through tech inspection etc. You jump the curb in a race and you're gonna check things out. You hit a hard bump on the street and you're gonna keep going until you hit another... at some point things feel...

Is AIX historic? I'm missing something here ;)

    Historic's suspension set up.

Feel free to check out my car at http://www.classic-mustang.net/jay though it's a bit outdated and does not cover the Flaming River R&P, the AOD, or the JBA / Borla exhaust I'm finishing this winter. Here's a quick picture too (not a jealousy issue on my side for sure):

    Historic's suspension set up.

DarkBuddha, You've kind of warped my line by line commentary on "the setup" ... noting things are old school and proven was to highlight that the only things new to the table here are questionable and potentially unsafe or proven in an "I'm not dead yet" manner. I've done a lot of backyard...

Generalized generalizations are just that  I'm not making this a forum thing just a common sense thing. If you think stangnet has a different demographic you are wrong. But like you said, let's not make this an inter-forum whatever... The real deal is that someone is feeding you...
