    The stock ones are suffice, Go grab some Bosch replacements at autozone should be less than $100 Ford plugs cost too much :nonono:

    well past 100K Have you checked the IAC? pull it off and blast some cleaner in it, it might just be clogged, if one of your coil packs were bad you'd only have 4cyls running Last thing you posted, can you get a pic of this wire and where it's located?

    How accurate is the stock tachometer?

    Just try not to run it yo 7K, spun bearings are a result. It does sounds strange that it'll go to 6.6K though, I've seen that PI engines would hit the 6250 rev limit and 'bounce' to 6.4K back to 6K but not anything where it bounces between 6.5 to 6.6K
