    Maybe it was not bolted down before? If that's the case, and you already bolted on the intake and don't want to get out the tap set, then you can get some of those nylon push in holders from the help section at Autozone, you know the ones that hold the bumper and interior parts on.

    I'm with you but did not know that Motorcraft Synthetic Blend was cheaper. I have used Valvoline for years and all my engines stay clean looking.

    Sure, I had one that way for a while. Just use the bottom 3 wires. Bottom one goes to ground, 2nd goes msd or neg on coil and 3rd is 12V switched. You can also use a GM module and remote mount it if you want.

    Pardon my ignorance. Why wouldnt an average 5.0 supercharger work? Seems like you would only need a longer belt at most. The heads are the same so the mount points "should" be the same.

    I had a Fram cause me loose all oil psi on the way home from buying my car, couldn't figure out what went wrong till I read folks talking about it and changed to motorcraft, oil psi went back up but it was too late for the motor. that was several years ago, I am a die hard motorcraft user now...

    The GM style HEI is ugly but it is one of the best distributors ever made. DUI and many others get 9000 rpm's out of them. Real easy to adjust the advance with the springs on top also. I have a billet one with MSD stuff but gotta get rid of it because my parker intake and N2O won't clear well...

    My Vote is the 86 GT unless it has rust issues BUT if you won't be able to get a motor any time soon, then go with the LX and 347, a tranny is a lot cheaper.
