    Turbo vs. Super

AP1995V6 hit it pretty well. From a pure engineering and physics standpoint, turbo is much better. Factor in ease of application, part & labor availability, safety, and most importantly, COST, and superchargers are a way better option for our cars. I would not attempt a turbo on a V6 stang...

    hp gains?

On a 99+, I'd say that'll probably get you 20hp. Maybe 25. On a 94-98, I'd give you less, maybe 15-20, since they don't breathe well on the intake side.

Location of PCV valve on 2000 V6?

Driver's side valve cover. Look toward the front of the valve cover - you'll see a hose that goes from the valve cover to the upper intake. The PCV valve is in the valve cover (just pull the hose off). Good luck. :)

    Spark Plugs and Wires

Magnecor wires are supposed to be much better than MSD or Jacobs in the EMI/RFI department. www.magnecor.com Although I tend to agree with what's been said above - no need to go beyond the Ford stockers. I'll probably replace mine with Magnecor or another brand later, but just because I have...

    DaeWOO WOO

GM does own the lion's share of Daewoo now (I believe they own 51%). They operate as GMDAT (GM Daewoo Automotive & Technology). Hop on the GM website - the new Chevy Aveo is actually a Daewoo (basically designed by Daewoo prior to being purchased by GM, and rebadged as a Chevrolet). In...

    Motorvator and 70mm TB

Oh, and the 70mm TB is completely unnecessary as well. Unless you have some SERIOUS mods, like a highly-built N/A motor, or forced induction, the stock 02 TB (60mm) flows more than enough to feed any stock 3.8. The stock TB will flow about 300-330cfm, which is easily sufficient for a 3.8 up to...

    Motorvator and 70mm TB

TB Spacer isn't going to do jack. Our upper intakes have so many twists and turns in them downstream from the TB that any 'turbulence' effect is worthless (it's questionable whether it'd even make a difference on a 'straighter' intake in the first place, IMO, just more of a restriction)...

    1999 + Hp

Remember that dynos are an inexact science, guys. An error margin of +/- 10hp on a dyno based on (a) dyno type, (b) gearing, (c) ambient temperature, and (d) engine temperature is pretty common. I could take a car, put it on one dyno, and have it make 160hp. I could then take that exact same...

    Opinion on rims please?

You can get GT/Torq-Thrust-style wheels that are painted darker in the middle, almost black, with a machined lip. I actually think the black + machined lip looks pretty sexy. You could always go chrome, if you can afford it. Definitely stands out. Chrome 03 Cobra wheels are nice. I dunno...

    DaeWOO WOO

Daewoo? Where's one of those puking smileys when you need it??!! Nah, they're cheap as hell. Probably more bang for your buck than a Cavalier or something like that.

    1999 + Hp

No reason to believe any differently. They typically put about 155 to the wheels in 5spd stock form, maybe 145 in stock auto form. If you assume nominal driveline losses, that works out to about 190 at the flywheel. Ford hasn't 'underrated' these, if that's what you're hoping.

    idle probs

Exactly. Just clean it, lube it, put it back together, and go. Either your problem will go away, or that wasn't the problem to begin with. Unless there was a major failure, you won't really 'see' anything glaringly wrong with the IAC. Just revitalize it a bit and go.

    Are we bad people?

The fundamental problem with their argument there is that they violate that "logic" themselves with respect to several other issues, and therefore the argument doesn't hold any water. How big do you think their houses are? Probably bigger than the "necessary" square-foot-to-person ratio. So...

    idle probs

Nothing in particular really - just anything "abnormal". Make sure it's not caked with gunk, not sticky, damaged, wet (leaky)... whatever. Sorry I can't be more specific, but there isn't really one specific detail you're looking for. Just clean it, and if it seems to be okay, it probably is...

    Removing Exhaust?

Actually there are... Technically the hi-temp and low-temp reduction and oxidation cats are usually contained in a single unit on most cars, but on ours the cats are in two separate housings, times two banks, = 4 cats. Really they're only like 4 'half cats', but there are 4.....

    why mod a V6?

Dunno where you are, but that's NOT normal. Most places, insurance on a GT is significantly higher. For me, I bought a 6 in the first place for that reason. The car was way cheaper, and so is the insurance. So I guess the answer to "why not just get an 8" is that I can't afford an 8. Not...

    idle probs

As you're standing facing the car, looking into the open hood, you'll see the big black air intake tube on the left. The tube meets up with the throttle body, which is attached to the upper intake manifold. If you look at the top of the throttle body/intake crossover, you can see a little...

    Removing Exhaust?

Not to be a party pooper, but this is NOT a good idea. Yeah, the single pipe is ugly, but lets look at the reasons not to do this: If you cut just unbolt the thing off the headers, it will be so unbelieveably loud that you'll crap yourself. It'll destroy your performance because of the lack...

    idle probs

Bingo. 99.9999999% of the time a low or stumbling idle is fixed by doing the following: -Pull off and clean your IAC. Make sure the electrical connectors are okay (although if they weren't you'd be getting a SES). It's likely just the mechanical valve sticking when cold, so inspect it...

    Pics of everyones car!

Giddy-up. :nice: Although next time she happens to be laying on your hood like that, I'd ask her to take the heels off. Gonna scratch it. :D
