    I guessin some of the 71-73 would have the 164 tooth flywheel and bellhousing, boss351 and 351 cj's came factory with 11" clutch. and stay with the 6 bolt aluminum bell's and with the wide trans bolt pattern.

    I have a set of superior axles in my 99. quality seems to be close to factory. strange and curries axles are worth the extra money though. screw in studs are normal in race axle applications.

    Yea, late model and 351 heads will bolt to an early block no problem. coolant holes"steam holes" will not be aligned. doesnt mean that the engine will over heat, just reduced coolant flow between heads and block in the middle cylinders. its up to you.

    thats true there were wide ratio 390 toploaders. Ive seen a few but seems that most around my area were close ratio. I have yet to see a factory ford wide ratio big spline, but havent seen any of the factory custom drag or nascar trannies.

    Wheel tire - fitting htem onto 66 stang.

    I run a 15x8 rim on the back of my 65 with a tire that measures close to a 265-70-15. it is a 28x11.50 MT etstreet. the rim has a 4 inch backspace and car has a stock ride height. it does rub the stock unaltered fenders lips over the big bumps somtimes.

    ther lincoln and the 80 granada rear axle would be the best fit for a 64/66 mustang. the granada is the easiest swap and can use the stock mustang 8 inch axles and brakes. pinion angle will be off but is fixed with shims. overall width for the 64-66 is 58 inches wheel to wheel.

    you put a new crush sleeve in there and it will take way more than 300 ft/lb to start it crushing. you will need a bigger impact than that snap on, an Ir 2131 at 100psi line pressure will make short work of any crush sleeve.

    How do i make this 4spd and 9" work for me?

    I paid about 90 bucks to have an input shaft extended but it was a big spline input so i couldnt just swap it out. All those extra hole in the bell housing will get a simple bolt and nut to complete the assembly.

    You should have the heads ported, a victor intake and 1 3/4 headers if you go to a bigger cam. I think your combo would be good with a novi 1000.
