Fuel pump, Kind of worried about the wires

Not sure what pump he is running, but he might have overmolded wires on the RFI pack. If so, no swapping wires.

Fuel pump, Kind of worried about the wires

I am a fuel systems engineer. The electrical tape is going to fall apart right away. When you fill you tank it is almost to the top and the slosh will hit everything. (Think of a fish tank in your back seat half full. It will slosh itself empty in normal driving.) I suggest tanking the...

TSB for Idle Air Control Valve?

Is there a TSB or service bulletin for the Idle air control valve causing stalling? I have had my car stall twice on me for no reason. First time was clutch in going from 3rd to 2nd trying to pull into a parking lot and the engine dies. Second time was clutch in coming to a stop to do a...

    Official Tremec 3650 Issues Thread

We know about the TSB. Many of use have had the TSB performed on our cars. The initial reason for the thread was the dealers were telling us it is normal. Then once the TSB came out, many people were having trouble getting the dealers to admit the problem was there on their vehicle and...

    HELP WITH 17" COBRA R's OR 18" SALEEN's

Just think about the cost to replace the tires every 2 years or so. 17 inch rubber is a hell of a lot less expensive then 18 inch rubber. Plus there are more tire options if you stay 17.

    Nelson's Performance Dyno

Just wanted to let any Southeast Michigan guys know about Nelson's Performance. I went there today to have a speedo calibration done for the 3:73'2 and my timing and A/R played with. Dave Nelson the owner did the tuning and it came out great. 3 pulls with A/R and tune for a very resonable...

Tuning, 87 octane vs 91 octane

Right, as octane goes up,the resistance to detonation increases or flashpoint. Is this resistance needed more at higher rpms? Nevermind, I answered my own question. Your timing isn't constant across the whole rpm band.

Tuning, 87 octane vs 91 octane

Tuning got pushed back to tomorrow. Does the higher octane allow more time across the whole rpm range or just at higher piston speeds/higher rpm

Tuning, 87 octane vs 91 octane

I am going to have my car dyno tuned tomorrow. I originally needed to bring it in for a gear recalibration, but decided to go with a custom program too. Bone stock car. Is the 91 octane tune worth the price of the gas or should I just stick with a 87 octane tune. Is there much difference...
