    u-joints

    Not sure if you added any, but these joints do require a decent amount of grease. I just did a set on my f150 and had a slight squeal under load. I doused the joints again with a grease gun, they are silent now.

    The kits on Crutchfield are made by Metra, and Ford ran the same harness for multiple cars, for multiple years. I dont know how splicing in wires, and plugging in a plug can be a "POS"?

    Anyone use Autolite XP-103 spark plugs?

    The Autolite XP 103's are the factory plug for the Ford Lightnings. They are Iridium plugs, and probably arent kept on hand in a parts store. Im sure you could order them in for the next day.
