    Roush charger for GT 500

Their relationship is basically unchanged. They're still in the same building, although in a new building in Allen Park.

    Roush charger for GT 500

One important fact.....Roush won't give you a warranty with this option. You can only get that with the standard upgrade. That should tell you something. :)

BTW, just because you can't find the answers at the end of a mouse button doesn't mean it isn't true. :flag:

    Roush charger for GT 500

I should say that you shouldn't get this group of guys confused with the Roush Performance group.....two entirely different entities.

    Roush charger for GT 500

As a matter of fact, Roush designed the Ford GT heads also (along with the entire GT engine). As far as the GT500, they did everything above the short block, including the reduced cam drive, supercharger, intake, cam covers, fuel pump, various chassis components, air cleaner, coolant...

    Roush charger for GT 500

That's because they don't. :nice: However, they did design and engineer it.

    Degreeing cams

Stock cams....no. Also, the piston dish volume has nothing to do with whether or not to degree the cams. All pistons have that flat area around the outer perimeter of the deck which measures roughly 10mm wide (9-12 mm depending on dish volume). This is where the valves will contact the...

    Degreeing cams

The advantage is that you'll know whether or not your valves are going to smack your pistons. Very cheap insurance. These engines are pretty tight, tolerance wise. There is little room for error. When you add lift and duration, the tolerance envelope gets even tighter. BTW, STAY AWAY FROM...

Man, that sucks. Hey, PM sent.

I think I ruined my motor!

BINGO! It is a common misconception that dish volume affects PTV clearance.

    Degreeing cams

go over to MD. go into the "general tech and frequently asked questions" forum in the tech section. There's a sticky you should read. BTW, it is absolutely RIDICULOUS that you can't even post the name of another site on this board!! That is Bull!! What is Stangnet afraid of????

I think I ruined my motor!

It sounds to me like those Comp cams definitely weren't timed right! This is why you NEED TO DEGREE THEM, especially Comp cams! This is NOT new news, and there are plenty of posts on all of the boards on this topic. I feel bad for you. You're probably going to need a couple pistons and a...

anyone used 3 valve pistions in a 2 valve motor?

'99 standard 5.4L offset should be 0.5 mm. That's the only dimension I could come up with for a '99 truck application. Without the actual part number, I can't guarantee that dimension.

anyone used 3 valve pistions in a 2 valve motor?

For the '99 Lightning, the offset is 1.27 mm (1.15-1.39). Your gasket thickness should be .038" itself if you're using a stock thickness. Add in the piston to deck clearance. I don't have that dimension, but I believe it's more than the .0118" of the 4.6L. Someone will chime in with that.

anyone used 3 valve pistions in a 2 valve motor?

You can use any 90.2 mm piston with standard compression height in a 2V. The 3V valve reliefs do not come into play with the 2V. The closest point the valve comes to the piston is along the upper surface of the ring land...that 10 mm radial flat area on the deck of the piston. No matter what...

percy or ford racing header gaskets

The stock gasket has a 40 mm opening (1.575"). The cylinder head opening is typically 1.5 mm smaller radially, so you're prolly okay using the 1.5" gasket opening.
