    Useable Street RWHP

Kiwi The car in my signature is not on the road yet. Still a couple of minor details left to finish. Should be completed in the next few weeks. This is the same motor that is being used in the Teralingua (SP?) Mustangs that Dallas Mustang's are building. From what I have gathered everyone...

    Useable Street RWHP

streetable RWHP In the original post in this thread Stirling33 asks what is the threshold for a good street engine that 90% of its time will be spent on the street. Before I offer up my opinion I would like to state that IMHO in order to truly enjoy a car that is driven on the street the...

    500hp 66 coupe

Dodgestang, I am so sorry to see what happened to your car. I have to agree with most of the posts in this thread regarding how much power does one of our cars need to be exciting, streetable and yet not tear the bejesus out of the car. IMHO I believe that with 300+RWHP,the right...

Can I build a NEW 66 Mustang coupe?

Is the after picture a Dallas Mustang's reproduction of the Teralingua (sp?) ? Very nice direction to go in my opinion. I think I saw on their site that they are selling their versions of this car for $78,000 ! I would assume that Dallas Mustang has most of the parts available to build the...

    Newbie GT500 value

Is this car by chance the one mentioned in 67mustangmaniacs post "Another GT500 found" in this forum? Perhaps it is just a coincidence. Just wondering. Scott

    stain removing techniques

cleaning car mats Hey finally a question that I have some expertise in.. (I own a couple of Stanley Steemer franchises) Short of hiring a pro I suggest the following. If you are dealing with just "dirt that you are tracking in" the best method is as follows: **Take the mats to a self...

    MagnaFlows with H?

My understanding is that when using an "H" pipe one should only use chambered design mufflers like Flowmaster. Conversely when using an "X" pipe one should only use a straight through flow design like Magnaflow. Is this correct? Scott

Ford Racing 347 Stroker. Who has 'em?

I am not sure about the rod length in the FRPP crate engine. I did however mention the oil loss concerns surrounding the 347 to the shop owner that I mentioned earlier and he stated that there should be no oil loss related issues. He has no vested interest in supporting FRPP products and...

Ford Racing 347 Stroker. Who has 'em?

I have the Ford Racing Performance Parts 347/450hp crate engine. (M-6007-C347 comes w/ Forged internals). This engine is not well suited for power adders due to the limitations of the "Sportsman" block. I am not interested in taking the engine any further than the stock set up so I will be...

    no hood latch?

I am with you on this... I just wanted to make sure that it is a legitimate concern. I am all about safety. I have had 3 pt. belts, collapsible tilt steering column,Tank armor and 4wdb's installed on this car. (No roll bar/cage as I will not be tracking the car and I will be having kids...

Fiberglass Hood -- to pin or not to pin...

Concerned.. I am having a car built that is almost complete. (see sig below) The car has a fiberglass Eleanor 2 hood and a GT350R front valance. This hood has no provisions for a stock latch. The car will only have 2 locking pins in the front. They are the almost flush style that are...

    I need hood pin advise!

My concern is that my car will not have the factory hood latch. Only the locking hood pins to hold the hood down. As a side note the car also has the Shelby 350R front valance. Scott

    I need hood pin advise!

Need advise I have the same locking hood pins that matty469 has on my 65 fastback. The car has an Eleanor 2 fiberglass hood and does not have any other hood latching mechanisms other than the locking pins. (Actually I do not believe that the hood comes with provisions for a standard hood...
