what do you do for the snow?

Where do you live? I'm in chicago and run michelin x-ice tires on my car (new not tested in the snow yet). No big snow yet but the grip in the 35 deg. rain we have had is great. No weight in the trunk either. If you have stock brakes get some 16's as tires are much cheaper. I run a 225/55/17 on...

Just put in some New rack bushings

Glad you like em. Another pricer but nicer option is MM aluminum ones...there like $40 but man...no deflection at all and feedback is amazing. I dunno why ford didnt rigidly mount the rack in the first place. I notice no more noise and harshness than with the stock rubber bushings. How much...

    Who here autocrosses?

I did the scca learning curve and a few events but that was it for me. I meant to go more but never got my scca membership and had no one to go with. But yes in the street tire class you want the Falken Azenis RT 615, its known as the "cheater slick" and its what everyone runs to be competitive...

    Heater Core Woes

I would say go look at a ford one for comparison Wes is probably right. If its easy and quick to replace I don't have a problem getting the cheapo lifetime warrantied parts but something like a heater core I would never want to do again, let alone 6 times:eek: :bang: .

    IN need of brake lines.

YOu can get one from your local auto parts store (pre flaired and with fittings installed) in many different lengths. You will just have to measure your good one (on the other side) and get the right length and fitting type and bend it to fit.:nice: I dunno where you can get a stock pre-bent...

    show your overflow tank

Canton makes a welded up aluminum one that fits like stock in the stock location...but its like $160. I personally like to be able to see coolant level in the reservoir so I will still stick to my scummy stock one.

Do they make a rear strut tower brace for our vert s?

Yes you may want a heavy duty torque arm....The panhard bar you can do in your garage but you will need a few extra hands at certain times during the project. Air tools are recommended and you will have to buy some plumbobs and take some accurate measurements. The torque arm...if you don't have...

Do they make a rear strut tower brace for our vert s?

you need a PHB to get a TRQ arm so get the PHB first or get the kit with both PHB and TA. I'll give a more detailed description on what they do later...or you can just look in the tech section on MM's website:D .

    New 5.0 Owner, New Problem

I would assume you set it to 10 deg. that seems like the logical place to put it at before you tune. But if timing was advanced before it came in the shop and they were too lazy to set it at 10 deg. who knows where its at... If you can call the previous owner...maybe ask him if he...

Do they make a rear strut tower brace for our vert s?

Mustangs can handle quite well when setup properly. One of MM's basic suspension packages was tested in 93 on an lx fox by road and track (or some other major car mag) and it ran the 3rd fastest slalom time they ever tested. Granted that number has dropped in the last 15 yrs. but thats still...

Non Mustang Brake question please help though

Take the wheel off, and have a close look see. I would say possibly brake hose or fitting, or the caliper piston seal, or the caliper piston may have cracked or otherwise failed. Yes when you pump the brake pedal you are pumping out brake fluid from the leak and pulling in air. Don't drive the...

    What Gauges to get???

Yea I dont have a low oil light anymore since I got my 7 qt pan so I would like to have a real oil pressure gauge preferably with a low pressure waring light or something built in. I was looking at the speed of sound 2 gauge A-pillar pod w/ raptor attachment and getting a raptor shift light. I'm...
