Salt on the roads, anything I can do?

Since moneys is an issue this might not be a solution, but POR15 works really good. You can even paint it on with a brush on the undercarriage and it doesnt leave streaks or anything in the paint. I eventually want to do my floors, whole undercarriage, and the outside of my engine bay behind the...

    Winter project

Well I am finally about to get started on my car for the winter. So I figured I would make a thread about it so if anyone wanted to follow along they could. I will be updating it all winter with pics and info on what i am doing. So far the plans include a new paint job, keeping it the same color...

    Sirrius or XM?

I have more experience with XM and love it, i have listened to sirius at work and they seem very comparable to me. From what i have listened to XM has a lot of deeper songs, like you hear a lot of artists you know but new stuff from them you have never heard. As to getting them back, i work in...

    In today's age, 5.0s just aren't competitive...

i dont know of many 1000+ hp mustangs, but i know just my little town has about 5 mustangs pushing over 600 hp. Im not sure if that is really unusual or not since its where i have lived my whole life, but i dont think a mustang that can beat a new z06 on the streets is that rare. I know most you...

    In today's age, 5.0s just aren't competitive...

I made my comment earlier about the street, the fox is just like it is at the track also on the street, go to the races and like 75% of the cars there are fox's. But I don't think you can compare it with the newer cars and all the new technology and huge price tag they have.

Ordred a system for my truck.

I was thinking of an L7, but after hearing a couple with the kicker 1000.1 amp im not sure. They seem to only hit loud on the real low stuff. Im leaning more towards a comp vx in a vented box, the kicker 1000.1 amp, the 650.4 for the 4 channel, Kicker ssmb6 components for the front and ks693 for...

Planning the future of my 5.0

I think its a good idea, my car is basically stock other than catback, gt-40 intake, U/D pulleys and gears. Im saving up now for a hellion turbo kit. People are making just under or 400 hp with them on well running stock motors. I figured i could spend a few thousand and get 300 hp with a good...

    Traded the '86 for a SN95

I think everyone in this part of stangnet probably likes the fox better, but other than opinion on what you like better i think he made out really good on this deal. He got something worth a lot more and what makes him happy right now.

I agree with what everyone is saying, but one i know we don't promote street racing or anything on this site, but at least in my area go to the street races and it is 75% fox body mustangs, then newer stangs, camaros, a few lightings and then all the hondas and Volkswagens. Not many of the real...

    Internet Explorer 7

I have been using firefox for awhile, but am slowly using IE 7 more and more often now. Partially because my school email works right on IE but not FF, but also once you get used to the new look it has a lot of nice new features.

    In today's age, 5.0s just aren't competitive...

I read that and had a funny thought, my uncle who had a bmw 740il, and now has an 06 Cadillac Escalade EXT, and my aunt has a lexus SUV but his 1986 GT Vert always gets the garage.

Does anybody here like "See thru Rims"? I think they are Hot.

I think they are pretty cool. Somethign different, never on a stang though. If you have the money to spend 20k on rims i doubt youwould be to worried about cleaning them, because you would probably be paying someone else to.

    Has Stangnet Changed?

Im specifically talking about the 5.0 talk and tech. I got my first mustang like 2 years ago. I started reading and posting on forums instantly to learn as much as i can. Quickly stangnet became my favorite. Then i got rid of my fox and got my 95. I started posting in that section. But over the...
