MPH Mongoose Vortech Kit vs. RPMoutlet's Procharger Kit.

I realize that. I use the term in it's generic sense.

    Whats gears with blower?

I guess I would leave whatever gear you have until you get the supercharger installed and get your dyno tune. Then, take it to the track or find an on-line calculator to figure out what gear you need. I run 28 inch slicks at the track, by the way. I would need less gear with smaller tires or...

how much spray can the plastic intake take?

I would not buy anything unproven. Also, just for your information... N2O = nitrous oxide NOS = Nitrous Oxide Systems (a company) Nitro = nitromethane

    Whats gears with blower?

It depends on a couple things. Is it an automatic or manual and is it a street car or street/strip car. My automatic with 4.10's traps at 130 to 135 in 3rd gear, at 6700 rpm. On the other hand, it's really too much gear for the street. I believe you would want even less gear with a 5 speed.

    S/C or NA

If I was you, I would definitely go with a KB 1.7 with no other mods. You won't need to worry about intakes, headers, X-pipes, cams, or anything else. Just bolt on the KB and maybe a fuel pump upgrade (I'm not sure what you need there) and you're good to go. To me, this is the perfect...

Damn guys, give it up. This thread is done. :Zip2:

how much spray can the plastic intake take?

The plastic intake is not the real issue with nitrous. They are cheap and easy to replace. The real issue with nitrous is not to burn up one or more pistons due to running lean. IMHO a wet kit is best because you are spraying both nitrous and fuel and with a good tune you should be OK with up...

MPH Mongoose Vortech Kit vs. RPMoutlet's Procharger Kit.

Thanks for asking. Not feeling too well right now. I've had a head ache for about 6 weeks and problems with my eyes. I'm going for an MRI tomorrow and will get the results next week. Hopefully it is not related to the lymphoma.

MPH Mongoose Vortech Kit vs. RPMoutlet's Procharger Kit.

I think just about everything that can be said about these two blowers has been said.

MPH Mongoose Vortech Kit vs. RPMoutlet's Procharger Kit.

It's a moot point anyway. Get a KB 2.2 from MPH and be done with it. And if you never plan a forged shortblock, get a KB 1.7.

Taking the air silencer off my kenne bell stang

If you were to significantly increase your intake airflow, you would need a new tune. I doubt that's case. The only other watch out would be if you start sucking hot air from the engine compartment. I don't think that will be an issue with the heat shield in place.

    Got a Stroker?

I'm sure that would make a nice setup for you. I'm not really familiar with the '98's, but I don't think you would need anything ignition wise. You would need injectors and probably a fuel pump upgrade. That would probably be about it.

What kind of power does it take to pull the front wheels?

You can do it with rwhp, traction, suspension, weight, or a combination of all the above. Here's my car last month. Two weeks after this, it lifted the wheels 2 feet off the ground, but we didn't get a picture. Not bad for a little 2v automatic.

    Random Tire Question

This is the correct answer. Multiply the tire width by the aspect ratio to determine the sidewall height (in milimeters). Divide answer by 25.4 to get inches.

    Got a Stroker?

The KB is a twin screw, but yes, it works great. Check my sig and mods below. I'm going in Thusday for an 8.0 inch crank pulley and retune, so the numbers will be even better. The car should go 10.0 or 9.9 next time out. Not bad for a daily driver that I drive all over the country to FFW and...

MPH Mongoose Vortech Kit vs. RPMoutlet's Procharger Kit.

You said you wanted to stay under 385 rwhp. That's why I recommended the SQ. Definitely get the Novi 2000 if a forged shortblock is in your plans. Hold it to a maximum of 400 rwhp until then. Tim may be able to get you a used Novi if you're interested. He sold my Novi for me when I switched...

MPH Mongoose Vortech Kit vs. RPMoutlet's Procharger Kit.

You might want a Vortech S or SQ-trim if that's all the rwhp you want to make. The Novi 2000 is a bigger blower. I made 661 rwhp at 22 psi with the Novi. Give Tim a call and let him know exactly what you need. He's not going to charge you for stuff you don't want, I'm sure.
