Blower or NOS on New engine

Do not try to use flat top pistons in a blower application. Get 18 to 21 cc dished pistons.

    Front tire size dilemma

I have 17 X 9 Cobra R's. Up front I have 255/40/17's with 285/40/17's out back. I like the slight "rake" to the stance.

    Will I notice power gains?

Anybody who says they can "notice" 10 rwhp gain is nuts. That's like 4 percent.

anyone else have this window issue on their 99+??

My driver side window does the same thing. The glass has become dislodged from the metal bracket inside the door that pushes it up. So, when you close the window, the bracket swivels and pushes the window too far. I plan to find some adhesive to glue the window back into the bracket.

    Tire Question, 285's on a 9" rim???

I'm running 17X9 Cobra R's with 285/40/17's on the rear, so I don't see why 18's would be a problem.

blower choice - kb or vortech?

Trust me, get the KB. I've had a Novi 2000 and a 2.2 KB.

    Blower or Internals First?

A short block includes the block, crank shaft, rods, pistons, and associated bearings, etc. If you were to buy the MPH street/strip short block, this is what you would get. And it would come assembled and with a one year warranty, I believe. If you were to replace the internals in your...

    Seat Question?

It might be easier to go to Radio Shack and get some kind of male/female wire connectors. You just need something that can easily be plugged and unplugged.

    Blower or Internals First?

I'm not sure what you are asking, but that's the engine I would recommend. If you have a blower, they will put dished pistons in it and optimize it for a blower application. If you plan to run n/a or nitrous, they will build it for that with higher compression.

    Seat Question?

I don't know, but you could probably figure it out with a little trial and error. You probably have a 12 volt and ground wire coming in. I assume there are two motors, each with a power and ground wire. Just get some electrical connectors and connect the three ground wires together and...

    Timing Adjusters

    It's worth about 10 rwhp.

    Blower or Internals First?

Trust me, do this. You won't be sorry. :nice: If you install a shortblock built for a blower, it will have dished pistons and reduced compression. It will be a dog normally aspirated. If you throw on a nitrous kit, it's just going to take that much longer to save up for a blower.

    Blower or Internals First?

You will be miserable driving around with forged internals for two years waiting to buy a blower. What is your end objective? If you just want a hot street car, I would buy a Kenne Bell 1.7 and a few suspension mods and be done with it. You can safely run up to 400 rwhp with your stock engine...

MPH Mongoose Vortech Kit vs. RPMoutlet's Procharger Kit.

Yep, and probably not much else of value to be added. :nice:
