    3.8 pricing.

I have seen engines like that on ebay and other places for a few hundred $. When you get to the engine swap I'd be interested in hearing how it goes. I know it's not just the engine, you also have to get new mounts, computer, 8.8 rear, gears, instrument cluster, suspension, etc. How much do you...

    Who got what for Christmas?

You know what I want for Christmas? I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR AGAIN!!!!   We have about 7 or 8 inches of snow, and in that snow is about 1/2 inch of ice, because for a while it quit snowing and dumped freezing rain for a while, then started snowing again.

    Who got what for Christmas?

I think we can go ahead and recycle this thread for this year. One thing I am getting myself right after Christmas is a flat-panel tv; I have had enough of the 19-inch 50 lb tube tv dinosaur. I haven't driven my Mustang in 2 days because we have 6 inches of snow plus half an inch of ice on top...

    New to Mustang

I call :bs: big time on the 39 mpg. I drove a long trip on the interstate two separate times, once in the summer and once in the winter. Both times I topped off the tank at a truck stop gas station right next to the highway and filled up again as soon as I got off. (The highway.) I got 30 mpg in...

Sold the Mustang, got a sports car.

Hmm, I don't know what to tell you.. mine has 140k, nothing has ever failed on it, including the heads. I got 30 mpg last month going from Portland to Seattle. Well, to each their own. By the way, I work with claims for an auto warranty company, I just had an S2000 last week with a blown engine...

WAKE UP STANGERS!! Kick ass and chew bubble gum!

I'll tell you one thing I'm terribly ashamed of.. my Mom and her 2nd husband (not my dad) had transmission troubles on their '95 Taurus. It only has 190,000 miles! Well, they got to thinking it may be time for a new car, and they went to.... -sigh-.. a toyota lot...

Tell me about it. Whoever dug up this thread, I guess they just couldn't wait.

    Who got what for Christmas?

Wow talk about digging up an old thread.. well, that time of year is coming up, so what the heck. Shall we recycle this one, or start a new one for 12/25/08?

    gee nice to know...

"Slow" at least implies movement of some kind. Up until this week, I would say it's been more like "dead and buried" in here! :D Even my attempts to stir up the "V6 forums are dead" thread had no results. :(

Ahh I see.. inline 6 versus V6. ok

    gee nice to know...

Huh? The 6 cylinder has been with the Mustang from the very beginning. In fact, the first production Mustang, a white convertible, was a 6 banger. Why do I feel like I'm missing something?

Sweet.. you should take it down the 1/4 mile and see how it does

    V6 Mustangs Suck

I often lust after a V8, but I drove a 2001 GT recently, (stock) and it didn't feel blindingly fast like I was expecting. It was quicker than my modified V6, but not all that much. I remember my old '88 5.0 would really shove you back in the seat, but this 4.6 didn't do that. The 3.8 has a...

    Is 15/25mpg average

If you have 4.10's, that's probably the reason for your low fuel economy right there. Gears like that raise the rpm's and lower the fuel economy. The car must feel pretty quick, though

    03 stang

Dual exhaust, cold air intake, throttle body spacer, predator tune. If you don't want to hurt fuel economy, don't get 3.73 or 4.10 gears, they will raise the rpm's and lower fuel economy. But they do make the car feel quicker.

    110 MPG, 3 second 0-60 5.0??

No I didn't see this in the Weekly World News.. (but I do miss that newspaper!) Some guy is saying he tweaked his '87 Mustang GT and now he can go 0-60 in 3 seconds and get 110 mpg. If this isn't a huge steaming pile of BS, I don't know what is. :bs::bs::lol::lol: Engineer Gets 110 MPG Out Of...

    Is 15/25mpg average

The 15 sounds a little low.. I have dual Flowmaster 40's, CAI, TB spacer, and predator tune and the lowest I get is 18 in heavy traffic. Mine is an automatic, too. I'm not sure why a V6 would be at 15 mpg.

    Stripes: Decal or paint?

Money for decals, yes.. money for paint, not yet. I don't know, maybe I'll put the whole stripe thing on hold and get my windows tinted instead.
