    Did the donor come from the factory with V8? If so and barring broke mounts you should be OK. If the car wasn't a factory V8 it could have been cobbled together in which case there is no telling what you may need. I think you'll find the I4 harness/loom is different than the 8's harness...

    The cap on the thing on the firewall is probably a vent for the solenoid and whatever vac circuit it operates. If the wire by the distributor traces to the STA terminal on the alternator more than likely it's for the electric choke. Probably.
