    Bug Remover

:nonono: :nonono: Can't believe you would even show one of these to the car! Not sure if you can get it in the US, but there's a product called PROLONG (think they have a website) that's sold here in the UK as a "waterless wash". I only use it to get rid of the bugs, they wipe straight...

    Cleaning the engine bay..?

I'm of the view that it's better to be safe...do it by hand :D Take a morning, or two..or so, and just clean it with a hand rag, air compressor, and metal/paint polish. I run mine as a daily, and once the initial pain is done for the clean, it only takes 45 minutes each weekend to keep...

    Hot starting issues

Add me to the list. Never actually failed to start, just a couple of stumbles, and only when hot and requiring a re-start after less than 2-3 minutes of shut off. BTW, what is it with the ticking sound. I only hear it under hard acceleration with the windows up. Windows down, I guess the...

    BBK CIA Problems

Never had any problems with mine, less than an hour to install..even with the PITA filter. Looks great, sounds better...and just maybe a tad in the SOTP dept. (Don't use the pathetic piece of breather hose they give you..it's too thin, and effectively clamps shut. I bought a short piece of...

Tested out the whole mpg thing

My 5,000 miles over the last 2 months have resulted in a rolling average of just under 25mpg, ranging from 20 to 29. Mainly motorway. That's in a bone stock 4.6 GT auto.

Ah..I get it now. Only trouble is the shipping cost. On items that large, it normaly works out $=£ by the time it get here. So $150 becomes $265 door to door. BTW, happy easter, and are you up early, or late!

Standard gas comes as 95 Octane, and is slightly cheaper, premium is 97 Octane, and the Interstate fuel for this is around $7, 60% of which is for the tax man. :notnice:

They're not available new, you have to do a personal import..same with LS1 GM's. You have to spend about $2k converting the lights, and that excludes the shipping. Fortunately, I bought mine already imported and registered. Did a carfax check, and it was OK. Given that mine is a Yellow...

Sorry, forgot to add that underdrive pulleys are on the list. I didn't realise that 4.10 gears would only pull 3k at 80. I'm kind of used to the Camaro doing 2k at that speed.

That's in Kent I think. main thing to note with my mods, is that the car will be a daily driver company car, covering about 25k miles per year. It only has 14k miles on it at the moment. So I need to keep it driveable on the motorways. (interstates). So I need to keep the stock gears...

yes and no. Highest pump prices for 97 RON are around USD$7.00 a gallon. But here's the rub. My company pay for the car, and the Gas.

Hi, Just thought I drop a line to introduce myself. I've recently disposed of an 89 Camaro and a 74 Charger 440, in order to buy a 2001 GT (in Yellow), and I've been researching the mods. As far as I know the current car (auto) is bone stock (apart from the bullitt rims, and other stuff...
