    Better solution - tap the dipstick hole using a 1/8NPT tap. The hole is a little oversize, but pipe thread tapers, so it will take a thread. Dab on a little Loctite, and thread in the brass or steel 1/8NPT plug of your choice. You'll never have to worry about it again.

    I made 445rwhp 427ft-lb on a pretty similar setup. Good luck getting the loose ends tied up - driving that car's going to be a blast! Your T-5, btw, is toast - you might as well start figuring out what you're going to do to replace it.
