    331 Supercharged...?

Short answer: no. Anecdotally, the 5.0 block seems like it's good for ~400-450HP at the flywheel fairly reliably; much over that and the clock starts ticking. It ticks pretty fast at 600HP, I'd think.

    Handbrake sticks when cold

It was covered under warranty, but of course, my car was still covered (still is - call me a sucker but I bought the extended warranty. Given this car's spotty service history, I'm betting it was the right move).

    331 Supercharged...?

Point of reference -- I'm making 445rwhp, 427ft-lb rwt on a 306 with EFI and a Novi 1000 running about 9 psi. Assuming 15% drivetrain losses, that's over 520 at the flywheel. That's on Holley Systemax heads. Previous advice is good - ditch the stock heads. There are lots of options...

    Handbrake sticks when cold

Same here. They froze the first winter I had the car, had them replaced under the tsb - no issues since then.

    EFI Supercharger install questions.

Use a smaller gap as well. Something around 0.032" works pretty well on mine - most people with S/C's end up in the same neck of the woods. Larger gaps often lead to high-load high-RPM break up (sure did on mine).

    EFI Supercharger install questions.

This is what I had to do - it's not a big deal. I used a Ford Racing dipstick (tube and stick), but a flexible one might work better. This setup makes checking your oil a bit of a hassle - the dipstick is buried among lots of obstructions, so build your engine nice and tight - no oil burners...

Granada Discs, T5 question, Pan Rust Question

I installed a '95 T-5 in my '65, which is about 3/4" longer than a Fox (87-93) T-5. The shifter is in exactly the right place to come up through the stock floor opening, and no trimming was required. That's what I know for SURE. I've HEARD that trimming is generally required with the Fox...

    mechanical to electric speedo question

Generally, you replace the speedo cable with the sending unit. You can use the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) from a '94-5 T-5 (that's what I used - may be applicable to other years as well) to drive your electronic speedo. The sensor has a pass-through for a speedo cable, so you could actually...

    T5 Swap & Reverse Light

The left (driver's) side of your T-5 should have a backup light switch screwed into it. It's a simple affair that looks a bit like an oil pressure switch with two studs sticking out of it. It's a simple make (when in reverse) or break (when not) switch. Find the two wires that connected to...

    17x8 wheels up front??

I have American Racing Torq-Thrust II on my '65. I tried 17x8 with 4.75"BS and had interference with the upper control arm. I have Global West UCA's, so it could be an interference issue that's particular to the suspension. I wound up with 17x7 up front and 235/45R17 tires (I used the 17x8...

Help Diagnos Compression Check & Leak Down

Based on your compression results, and the fact that the majority of your smoking happens within a minute of cold start, I think it's likely that a new set of valve seals would solve your problem. If you really want to minimize your work and expense, you can put new valve seals on without even...

    G-Force or Tremec TKO600?

I have an Astro Performance A-5, which is quite similar to the G-force trans. It's been in for 4 track events now and has performed like a champ in front of 445rwhp. Talk to Tony at Astro.

Questions about building a 1965 race fastback

Don't take this as chest-thumping (well, maybe a little), but my '65 gives the FFR Cobras a serious run for their money at open track events. Neither car is decisively faster (well, except the guy with the blown 347 Cobra that pulled me on the straight...). It's not an unreasonable expectation...

    JMC HYDRAULIC CLUTCH QUESTIONS

The JMC kit has worked well for me for the past ~3 years, including a fair amount of track time. It's on the pricey side, to be sure, but the installation was straight forward, part quality is good, and customer support from JMC was top-notch. I don't know if it'll clear a power brake booster...

    t5 leaking from speedometer gear

It's pretty easy to strip the threads that hold that clip in (ask me how I know), and it will do absolutely nothing to slow the leak. iskwezm and bottlefed are right - replace the o-ring; tighten the bolt carefully.

Will wheels pass PA State Insp?

It's been many (~20) years now, but I used to hold a PA state inspection license. Wheels / tires that protruded beyond the wheelwell were a big no-go, and wouldn't pass inspection (at least not one of my inspections). I'm imagining that hasn't changed. Add that to the fact that it looks...
