Who makes the best camshafts for 99+ GT's??

VT Blower cams in my car have a nice gentle lope, idling at ~700 RPMs. The car never really fluctuates in RPM, but sounds like it is. A little hard to describe. Now on very cool mornings, even after the car is normal running temperature, the cams lope even more. Can be very noticeable at times.

    400rwhp and I want more--give me ideas

Uhhhhh.... I'm confussed. If I was only putting down ~ 400 rwhp with that setup, I'd be on someone's ass. A "conservative" tune with that setup should be closer to 475+. Not sure what gives here?

T & J now a dealer for KB is this true?

Not a dumb question really. I'm most likely not going to describe it perfectly, but basically an adaptive tune allows the motor to "adapt" to different conditions. For example, when it's hot outside the tune takes away timing to make sure detonation doesn't occur. Less timing means a little...

When to raise the rev limiter?

As stated above, the power curve is over after about 5300 RPMS on a stock GT. If you add cams that would raise that power curve, YOU BETTER HAVE AFTERMARKET SPRINGS that will handle the additional revs. Still not assured of being safe, as a spun rod bearing can occur at anytime on a stock...

what would be a better super charger

I say go with the Novi 2000. The bigger the better, but perhaps that's only due to my ego problems. I don't think you will be dissapointed with either setup.

Who makes the best camshafts for 99+ GT's??

N/A: ~19-25 rwhp Blown: ~80-95 rwhp** ** VT produced an 89 rwhp gain with there "blower cams" with ported heads.

Help me decide on an s/c......

Yep he's right outside of Atlanta. There are a few guys coming in town on January 16th for a little tune up. One from NY and the other from the DC area. Tim and Jeff are pulling in folks from everywhere.

Help me decide on an s/c......

Wouldn't really call it the "Steeda tune", but more of Tim's own adaptive (Steeda like) tune. He uses the software that allows him to change any and all parameters of the tune.

Help me decide on an s/c......

Vortech SQ or ANY other ProCharger but the P1. I thought ATI fixed the seal problem with the P1, but I'm starting to hear otherwise. Can't 100% confirm that myself, but just letting you know problems have existed.

    forging engine...

Strokers are nice, but if you are only looking for 500 rwhp with a blower, you really don't need a stroker. Again, do as you want to, but just tellling you it's not necessary. My engine was completed just a few short weeks before the stroker kits were available, but I'm not worried about it...

Going to T&J Performance soon (upgrades)

Only reason I said that is because Buckhead "party central" is not what is used to be.

Going to T&J Performance soon (upgrades)

I would say you could share a bed with my 18 month old, but he moves around quite a bit in his sleep. :D If you want to save money, just stay away from the downtown/buckhead area.

how can i get 600-650 rwhp on this car??

I feel as though I'm chimming in a bit late on this thread, but none the less, here's my .02 cents..... If you have $6000 to work with, I would go one of two rountes. 1) purchase one of the Mongoose kits (Novi 2000 or Vortech T trim) from T&J Performance along with an intercooler. Nice tune...

    Fox Lake "P-51" 2V Intake

Trust me, we are doing everything possible to find out when the new version will be released, but no "official" word as of yet.

    Fox Lake "P-51" 2V Intake

Will be reving the car to 7500, so the RR will serve its purpose on my car if that's what I go with. I agree in the fact that the current RR makes its power up top, but when it gets to those upper RPMs, it really shines. They are making a 2nd version of the RR, which will change up a few...

    Fox Lake "P-51" 2V Intake

Either the P51 or Reichard Racing intake will be on mine. Leaning towards the RR at the moment..... but that changes with each new piece of news that comes out about these intakes.
