    hey whats up. i have a 85 mustang gt, and my original fan clutch was going bad so i replaced it with a 88 gt fan clutch. it seems to fit good but now it has a real loud whine. anybody have ideas on what this could be? thanks

    if its shakeing that bad i would take off the serpentine belt and check out the harmonic balancer.

    it must do it cause its ah holley carb? i mean i know lots of older cars in the 80,s that have a carb engine like the caprices, and chev half ton,s but they never do that. you can start them up in -30 degree weather and they work perfet and never had a problem.

    hahahaha the exact same thing with my 85 gt. runs perfet in warm weather but when it starts to get cold out side, as soon as i let off the gas bang she shuts off. with mine running like that i probally get like 12 miles to the gallon, and pretty well near die of gas fumes. but if i run the car...

    no i am still useing the stock brakes to, they dont seems to be to bad but i never had to slam them on real hard before either, but id imagine they would do the same thing to my car as it did to yours. did you lower your car any? what size of rims and tires are you running. thanks

    same thing happens to the old mans car, its not a stang, its a plymouth acclaim. its the same like you said 3 to 4 minuts of ideling and boom the temp gauge is 3 quarters the way up the gauge. but when your driving the temp gauge barley moves up, it pretty well stays at the bottom of the gauge...

    ya i have had them on my car for a while now and they work good. so what would be the point of buying aftermarket headers then? there would be none. if i bought bbk headers or hooker headers etc... it would be wasteing my money right. because i am not going to get the gases out any better with...

    ya i suppose it would still seal good but i thought all of the E7TE heads had 1,5/8 primaries.

    ya they were stock headers off the 88 gt. problem is i dont think they make headers with 1.5 inch primaries. so if those headers off the 88gt are 1,5/8 how come they worked on my car, u would think they would leak like crazy. so does this mean i can go buy a set of say bbk equal lenth headers...
