Welcome to the site. :flag: What your hubby doesn't realize is that you II will actually get more attention, since you don't see very many of them. Everybody has seen a '65 stang so big deal. Heck i have a '66 and I'd rather play with my II. :D Anyways... back to your situation... Why not...

    Mustangs Unlimited NW Roundup 2008

Not a 1/2 bad showing at the meet this year. Lance wanted to meet up at the meet and I thought that would be cool, since we've never met face to face. I missed a little meet and greet a few years back of the WA/OR bunch. I got there a bit late and saw that a few cars had already left and...

    Trunk emblem

I found 1 so far. It's got a small amount of pittin on it, but all pins are intact. Not 'show' quality, but probably look fine on a driver. I'll try to post a pic of it tomarrow.

Does that emblem have a slight curve to the back of it to coincide with the roll of the trunklid? I can't remember... I'll see what I've got to... :nice:

    Mustang Roundup in Bellevue, WA

Oye vey.... I'm with you Darryl. It's that time already!?! Looks like the IIs had a decent showing. Too bad I couldn't add to the mix. I burned up alot of vacation (2 months worth) staying home with the new little one. So EVERYTHING has been shoved onto the back burner. Hard to get anything done...

    Oil Cooler-er??

Oh there is a possibility that it being a new engine (nice and tight) that it migh run a bit hotter. i've always been told to run a new engine a little rich for a few hundred miles, and I'm guessing it to prevent excessive heat from running lean. A lean engine will certainly run hotter as with...

    Oil Cooler-er??

This may sound crazy but change your oil weight. I was running a .060 302 in a '69 Mustang I had days back. Was running 10W30 and it ran hot. Switched to 10W40 and it dropped the temps about 10-15 degrees. My machinist swears by running 20W50 in everything he owns. I think that's too thick on...

    In need of shifter advice

Quarterstick would be my choice aswell. Buddy had one in his '78 Malibu and it worked very well. Even his wife could figure it out, so it's really a user friendly shifter. :nice:

    Price for selling a 1978 4cyl coupe?

Man i hear you loud and clear. Of course you have to look at the other side of the coin too. As you, I dread selling any of my cars to these numbnut kids these days. Seems like they just don't have respect for stuff anymore. My worst fear is that I sell one and the kid takes off in it bruning...

    In need of shifter advice

Can't think of any shifter that will fit the hole in the console. Pretty small opening. Keep in mind that these aftermarket shifters, like the B& M and Hurst units, may require you to change out the shifter in the tranny aswell. B& M is usually good for that one.

    Ooops, broke my tranny.

Well even if you do rebuild it, those 4 speed are a weak link. The best thing you could do is replace it with either a T-5 or an auto just like you were saying. I went through 3 RAD 4 speeds (the MII 4 speed) in my V6 car none the less. They are just not built of good strength.

    Parts Needed

Yeah I think I'm gonna be too far away to be able to get you any good deals. Shipping is so ridiculous these days. But now that you've got your location up there, hopefully somebody closer to you will respond. That 157T flexplate you need should be easily had at your local parts store. I...

    Price for selling a 1978 4cyl coupe?

You've got a tough situation here and I can understand it. I guess the first question you need to ask youreslf, is how bad do I need it gone? You've got sentimental value into this car and that makes it tough. I end up the same way with most my cars. You just want to see your efforts go to a...

    High Speed Vibration Noise

Check your tranny mount. It may have been fine when they swapped the tranny, but over time seperated from the rubber. This can cause the noise you're hearing. Some driveshafts back then had a transmission yoke on them that had a balance weight on them that looke similiar to a harmonic balancer...

Repainted my Cobra II *56K WARNING PICS*

WOW! That is certainly not was I expected! That's a pretty nice PT. I liked the idea Chrysler had when they brought out the PT but I think they chepo-charlied it and that turned me off of the thing. I think they could have spent more time with the concept than they did. However, yours certainly...
