    72 PS pressure hose question

There is a hose change mid year on the 72. I have the wrong hose. The fitting at the pump is too big on mine. Does anyone know if the 'pre or post 5/72 hose is the smaller or larger fitting? THANKS!

I need breather grommet and elbow

I need the grommet and fitting to hook an aftermarket air cleaner (I think it's FMS) to the breather. I got it used and it has the hole, but I need the grommet and elbow fitting. Anyone have an idea where I can get this please? THANKS.

    Brake fluid type

I put Explorer discs on the rear of my 72 and have stock discs on the front. I would probably prefer using Dot 4 fluid (doesn't take off paint). The system is dry and clean now and I need to decide. Anyone know what I should use? THANKS.

    Restore switch bezel ?

Thanks These are all the chromed plastic pieces. They really don't have rust, the chrome is all faded. Anyone?

    Restore switch bezel ?

Any idea how to make the faded chrome on the light switch, wiper switch, knobs, etc. look better on my '72? I can't find this stuff repro, so I guess I'll need to paint it or something ???? Thanks!

    Ignition Problem

Yep. It's pretty tough to diagnose these kinds of problems without a light or meter. I prefer a meter to know what voltage I'm getting. They are pretty easy to use. If you don't have one, get one that also can read ohms. I always hear ignition switches being a problem and have never found...

    Versailles 9" in a 73 Mach 1

I'd do the swap and you are right, just get backspacing right on wheels. I'm not sure where the spring perches are on the Versailles, but I swear someone told me this is an easy swap.

    Ignition Problem

I've spent a month sorting mine out, so good luck. I think you have a problem with the two small wires that push onto the selonoid. The red with blue should be on the post labeled "s" (for starter) and the red with green should be on the one labeled "i" (for ignition/on). If your starter...

    Mallory Unilite is smoking

Thanks for the tips. I also looked up how to test the unit at the Mallory site and will do that this am. They also show 2 diagrams on how to wire it believe it or not. One shows red going to the coil, the other shows red going to the resistor. Not sure it matters, but we'll see....

    Mallory Unilite is smoking

I have this wired with ballast resistor EXACTLY to Mallory's directions. When I hook up battery, I see smoke coming out of distributor at coil wire. Voltages are weird too. Without Mallory harness hooked to coil, 12v, hook harness, 2v. Very weird. Any ideas?

Coil not getting 12 v, help please

Thanks all. Turned out to be a couple pinched wires and loose connectors. New problem now to do with Mallory distributor. New post.
