    Timing is fine. It is getting the spark. When I disconnect the spark plug wire the noise goes away. even tried it with a different spark plug and the noise was the same and pipe was cold. Every other cylinder is fine.

    OK I just did a compression test on that cylinder and got 130lb from a stone cold engine. That would mean the problem is not part of the valve train right? If the motor was just not getting fuel would it be that loud? I would think it would be a little tick tick noise.

    The firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 and the distributor goes counterclockwise, am I right :shrug: I didn't know that there was HO and non-HO firing order

    It's fine at idle with no miss at all. Would this still be the balancer? The fuel pressure regulator is stock.

    When you guys are talking about base timing where is that on your vibration damper? Is that 10* BTDC or 10* ATDC or do I just set it to the 0 in the vibration damper scale?
