Best bang for a buck in a drop in k&n. The other thing that makes me nervous is that you can't see the filter once it's in the fender. So if it falls off, you suck in god knows what!
I used to commute 70 miles a day... It was about $250 + a month for gas. I got used to it after doing it for 5 years. Getting a tune helped with about a 3 mpg increase on the highway.
Now I only commute 35 miles. Much better, only $160 + a month for gas
Man it was terrible.... Every bump over 40 mph would send the car every where but straight. I had the parts sitting there since Oct. but no time to install them. I still didn't have the time, so I paid the shop to do it.
I stopped in on my way to work and peeped it in the bay. It was much...
The shop is done with installing my Eibach Pro-Kit and KYB GR-2's all around. I'm psyched!! After 100K the stock suspension parts were TOAST. The shock bodies on the quads were bulging with rust!
What kind of ride should I expect?
It will show code P1000 after you clear all codes. P1000 will not turn the MIL on but the inspector can read it. It tells them that all ODBII tests have not been run.
As far as I know they should work and:nice: I inted to give it a try
My car has never had the sniffer test. The state inspector said we hook it up to our computer and as long as all the ODBII diagnostics check out and you don't have any other codes we don't do the sniffer test. Then they just check with a mirror for the cats. So as long as the cats look like...
I know there are ways to get it passed if I do LT's but I'm tired of looking for people to do it.
I actually had a chat with the state inspector the last time it got inspected and he said just gut your cats. As long as it looks stock and doesn't throw a code you're fine.
So I guess I'll...
Does anyone in NJ run long tubes and a short catted X-Pipe without any problems passing inspection...
The past 2 times they hooked the car up to the computer for codes and checked underneath with a mirror. I'm thinking as long as they see the one cat I should be fine.
I'm trying to plan a...
That's for certain.... It handled so nice to me that it made me drop $500+ on springs, bushings, and shocks the day I got back.
From what I saw underneath there was Bilsteins, Eibach, and poly bushing all over the place
I knew the name looked familiar. I read so many threads on here I forget who types them.
How do you get the hole in the housing to be perfectly level? Or do you just eyeball it?
I saw someone that had a sensor in both of those places and wired a switch in between. That way you can see both temps.
What temp did you see from the block?
It's the electric one. I thought I felt it just barely bottom out. I'm not that woried. As long as everyone else's works. The picture that Indiana posted on here looks just like mine (with about 1 thread left).
I wasn't expecting the 1.5 gallons of anti-freeze to come showering down...
