Post Your Newest Stang Pic, 94-95 Cars Only.

SLYFOX89 We don't mind some nice fox bodies in here :nice: Chasing a Lotus Exige with a M3 hot on my tail :) And the next lap :D

    Wingless SN95's

Took my wing off at the track once. Not bad, but I prefer it with a wing. The car actually went faster with the wing on there btw. :)

    "Free" HP?

The stock cam is good for 260-280rwhp with the right setup. I think every 2* moves the power band by about 250-300 rpm, hardly enough to cause any serious power loss down low. Degreeing aftermarket vs. stock cam is way different. Non-stock cams you generally want to stick to whatever...

    "Free" HP?

Just cleaning all the crud out of the intake should free up 5-10hp at least! This thing is pretty nasty, but it's slowly starting to look like new. I have ports 1-4 pretty much done, I'll probably finish 5-8 next week. Any suggestions for cleaning out the upper intake? Ordered some carbide...

Head Swap Build Thread: And other Improvements

Not sure what you mean by 2 closed breathers + an open breather on oil cap... 3 breathers? I got tired of my breathers dripping oil and making oil changes a pain so I went back to a PCV setup.

    "Free" HP?

I built mine with driveability in mind too, but it didn't quite work out. I know my problem is in the tune and a few other misc things, like tons of exhaust leaks and a very touchy tb. I can lug it down to 1300 rpms or even less, it runs fine under load. Light load under 1600 rpm is where I have...

    Cobra st,t,t,tuters and high RPM

My first thought was the PIP, next would be a problem with the ignition box (MSD) if you have one. Was the fuel pressure 30 PSI with or without vacuum? It should be 39-40 PSI with the vac line removed, around 30-32 with vac.

    "Free" HP?

I spent a couple hours searching on that the other day and I couldn't find a definitive answer whether grinding down the bumps helps or not. It looks like the gains are from the bowl work and not much from the port itself, which is more work than I want to get into. I starting porting the...

    Timing chain removal issues

The crank gear on my stroker was super tight so I had to use a 3 jaw puller to get it off.

    Hoist attachment?

I have a lift plate that mounts to the lower intake that I use. If your engine is stock you might have the lift bracket still attached to the driver side header... Your best bet is to use a sturdy strap wrapped around the engine. When I replaced engine mounts on a couple of my vehicles I always...

    Holy Wheelgap Batman!

Well this is the closest thing I could find to a "before" photo... :D This is the earliest pic I could find, but I already had springs on at this point. At it's lowest point here...Sportline springs and QA1 K-member for about 2.5" drop up front. And as it sits now, with rear...

    "Free" HP?

I can't ditch power steering because I have hydroboost brakes. Although I'll probably go back to the vacuum booster when the 5.0 goes in. Plus manual steering sucks. Smog stuff is long gone.

    "Free" HP?

I've been doing a lot of searching and that's the same thing I came up with. It looks like as long as I don't max out the stock MAF/injectors it'll be fine. I'll go ahead and go for it. :) I'm more worried about degreeing the cam causing problems...I think I'll go ahead and try that too...

4.10s vs 3.73s and opinions on the best shifter

My personal opinion...for a stock or near stock street car I would go with 3.55's or 3.73's. The 4.10's are more for high revving engines, which our 5.0's are definitely not in stock form. Another thing to keep in mind is that the stock T5 will only accept a speedo gear up to 3.55 so your...

    "Free" HP?

I guess my real question is will porting the intake and degreeing the cam cause any problems with the ECU where a tune would be required to fix it? I'm trying to avoid a dyno tune to save $500. I think it will be fine, but my only experience with this car is going from stock to 450rwhp in one...

    "Free" HP?

I've spent all morning reading tech articles from tmoss and there is about 10-15 hp to be gained from porting the stock lower intake. You have cam and ignition timing mixed up. Retarding the cam shifts the power band higher... I know 4* works well with ported or aftermarket heads, not sure how...

    "Free" HP?

I got a stock 5.0 engine for my car and I'm looking for cheap/free mods that I can do before I drop it in. The main thing is I don't want to hurt driveability and I don't want to have the tuned. Here's what I have in mind: Port the stock lower intake, retard stock cam 4*, bump timing 2-4*...

    Hey Guys! Need advice!

I would look at the 99-01 Cobras. IRS, aluminum block, 320hp, best front/rear weight balance of any production mustang. It probably won't handle as well as the 240, but it's about as close as you can get in a stock mustang without getting a 2011+ model.

    347 Stroker Questions

Dart block will take anything you throw at it. Making 375rwhp NA and 9.5:1 compression it won't take much to get to 500rwhp. Probably 5-6# with a turbo or 6-8# with a S-Trim should get you there with pump gas. With your compression I wouldn't go much over that without running meth or 100+ octane.
