    Maybe you need a driver mod. :shrug: A Full bolt ons gt traps higher than a stock 06 sti(even with exhaust). And will run with one in the quarter on street tires. Ive never seen a stock sti run faster than a stock mach one at my local track.(btw what is your def of minor mods ona turbo car?)

    I hate mine. It's extra weight and if itwereeasy to take off it would already be gone. It makes working on the car a pita, its best use is a handle to hhold onto while cleaning the back of the engine. Total placebo effect with a stb.

    I had the same issue until I changed my plug wires@130k miles. Little farts and stumbles, sluggish start up were my symptoms

    KT That race should be even if you shift from 1st to 3rd. He would have to do some serious mods to get your stock trap speed. And yes conditions are all important. Im sure if I ran into a real racers, not just a spoiled kids, that i would have lost. Just like 99+ gts vary by a second...

    Just an 04 exploder(-70lbs.) 4.6 , 3.73's in a fresh dif, tune, x/exh. Wheels(-20lbs.) Dogbone removed(-8lbs). Otherwise full weight.+Subframe connector and stb weight(~+35-40lbs.). btw My times were bracket racing so I was also trying to stick to a time(w/2.2 60's getting me there...

    in that weather(2500d.a.+ 95 degrees) well driven 05 gt's and lightnings were running 14.3-14.4's. ANd I was having an off day on that day anyways(14.2's btw).

    I know for a fact that themaximum motorsports steering shaft will remove that looseness. I've heard the factory 03-04 cobra has a urathane busing as opposed tothe factory rubber. I dont have either part so I cant chime in on effectiveness, but I will be able to soon,.

    I would do(as a street setup): 1, Short Throw shifter 2(or 4). Cat Back Exhaust+Xpipe 3. Gears+A handheld tuner 4(or 2).Springs, Shocks, subframe connectors, Rear LCA's, C/C plates, and Alum rack bushings. 5. From here on out you are wasting money unless you go fi in the power department...
