88' Coupe, Recommended Tire Size For 18" Rims

Mine are Falken FK 452, although I don't believe they make these anymore.

88' Coupe, Recommended Tire Size For 18" Rims

I run 255/35/18s on the front and 285/35/18s out back. My front tires do run the fender tops although new spring isolators helped out some.

    New Catback Sound Clip

Possibly. It's louder than I thought. I will give it some time and see if I can live with the noise or not. We have a set of Pypes Violator mufflers on an 89 GT with a prochamber and shorties and it is miles quiter. I assume the violators are the chambered quiter muffler.

    Headliner

I had bad luck redoing mine with Loctite and 3M spray adhesive. Both over time let go. This last time I did it was with a roll on contact cement. I had it bleed through in a few small spots (not noticeable) but so far so good. Mine was not the original material though, mine was a material I...

    New Catback Sound Clip

I think shorties are louder down low, long tubes louder in the higher RPMs. I've done a few pulls through underpasses and the sound is very loud. Hard to have the car out late while living in a neighborhood.

Biggest Tire Size On Fox Body

I run 18x10 with 285/35s with no rubbing issues to speak of. I know guys with 315s on foxs with no rubbing.

Sn95/new Edge Guys Come In Here- Seat Belt Research.

I bought my new ones from one the mustang resto type places. It was a good purchase, much more safe than the old beat ones and direct bolt in.

    New Catback Sound Clip

So I swapped from my dumped Spintech mufflers to an SLP catback. This video was the first start up. I will say I like the sound, however it is loud. Almost obnoxious. I may grab a driving video once I get a clutch cable back I'm, but this is the best I have. View: http://youtu.be/gXc8A3sS7xk

    Exhaust Size W Forced Induction?

Why do people assume long tubes mess with emissions? My car passes with long tubes, a cut down stock H pipe (precats cut off), and the smog pump in place. Passes first shot with no other work done. My ground clearance has never been an issue and I've never had problems with my starter either...

    Exhaust Size W Forced Induction?

I agree with 1-5/8 shorties, off road mid pipe and a 2.5" catback of your choice would be a good upgrade, in sound and some power. Craigslist the parts and spend 300-400 total and have a good set up.

    Progress Thread Project Copper Can

I'm a two tone fan, so I say go for it! As for the track numbers, never get discouraged by the first outing. It will take some learning if the car and tweaking, but your times will drop.

    Exhaust Size W Forced Induction?

Mandrel bent 2.5" would be plenty.

    Slower Et's W Exhaust Cutouts?

If it's too quiet, change the catback out for something more aggressive. Still too quiet, lose the cats.

    Slower Et's W Exhaust Cutouts?

You can run an exhaust that makes plenty of noise without having to crawl under and open cut outs.

    Desirable Fox Body

I was on my local Craigslist looking for a parts fox and was surprised at what they are asking. Abused cars $3500-6500. Ok cars in the $6500-8500 and then some well over $10,000 asking price. Makes me think about listing it for stupid money!

    I Hate These Words

I can't believe I'm going to post this on this site... A term I hate when used, is the term... Stang instead of Mustang!

    How Much Abuse?

    3. I don't drive fast, and I don't really drive it like a young dumb kid, but I like to drive the car hard when the times right.

    Post Your Svo Mustang

Not a fan of the hole, but I like the wheels on it. A little rough but nothing some work can't fix. I've always liked the SVOs, never had any info on them, other than they were unique looking, turboed 2.3s that could be made to run fast. I wasnt aware they had specific fenders. I'm probably...
