    here's my technique: 20psi in the rears, 32 in the fronts, 1/2 -3/4 quarters of a tank of gas + the spare & jack, 1st gear burnout til the tires start to smoke, 4000rpm launch with a real quick clutch slip & shift at 6000rpm. not really what most recommend but it works for me, 1.9x's 60fts...

    you will need more than just the 4v heads. you will also need the intake, throttle body, air inlet pipe, exhaust manifolds, and either the 4v COPs or something aftermarket for the plug wires. plus theres probably a whole lot more stuff im forgetting. what are your long term power goals...

    at the track i go to, pittsburgh raceway park, they only require a helmet as long as you dont run faster than an 11.99 in the street class. also long pants are a must. as for the insurance i have no idea, sorry

    as has been said a custom tune will do alot. the timing adjuster is nice but since it only adjusts the base timing the computer will still screw with the timing more so than if you had it set in the tune. also check your fuel rails to see if you have a changeable regulator mine is permanently...

    Im not sure about an 03, but on my brothers 02 we just unplugged the COPs, removed the torx bolt( i think it was a t20 but im not positive), pulled out the COPs and swapped the plugs. The rails werent in the way and we did one at a time so we didnt mix up the COPs(not sure if it even matters)...

    What are your sixty foots and how was the weather? I ran the time in my sig with the mods listed, no tune and on general altimax hp tires. If the cars running fine you may just need better weather and/or to work on your launches.

    lol my mom did that to her old plymouth breeze. personally i'd change it. atf is thinner than motor oil and probably not designed to take the heat and abuse oil does

    i had them on my mustang when i got it. overall theyre a pretty decent tire, hell i was cutting 1.9xx 60fts on them at the track. i have the general altimax hp right now no complaints with them either
