BUDGET upper and lower control arms, what to get?

We just welded all the torque boxes up while we were up there. If I ever make the kind of power where I'm fearing for them, I'll get a reinforcement kit from somewhere. But for now, just welding them up will work fine for me. ANY aftermarket control arms will be better than stock though...

Nah, it's not new... it's from my old 90' GT. It does look pretty good in the pic though, doesn't it? Hehe.. I'll take this to email now. Talk to you soon!

    Hood Pins ?'s

Oh, I dunno'... How's $15 shipped? I went out and dug around to see what all's involved with the hood latch mechanism and it seems that if something broke, it would be somewhere within the cable it'self.... either the handle, somewhere inside the cable sleeve, or the little metal ball at...

BUDGET upper and lower control arms, what to get?

I got mine from a Mustang performance shop in N.C. who sells them on Ebay regularly. They are Granetelli uppers and lowers. They are the exact ones that Summit sells as thier own brand because Granetelli makes them for Summit. They are the exact ones in the catalog (red ones). I got them...

    Hood Pins ?'s

I wouldn't use hood pins as your primary hold-down source for the hood. They should only be a secondary safety thing. The reason I say this is because for the pins to hold the hood down completely tight, like the stock latch would, you'll have to adjust the pins where they are flush with...

how do i relocate the battery???

I didn't do #2 or #3 and it works fine and has for about two years now. I grounded mine behind the battery box, also drilled a hole for the vent tube there. (see top right frame of first pic below) Here's some pics of mine. If you want, do a search on my name BADPONYsc and scroll through...

Question for those with BBK cold air kit...

5.0CRAZY, yeah if I hadn't ripped those screws with the rubber bases off, there's no way I could have gotten the filter to attach inside the fender. The plate mounts perfectly flush without them there and the lower two bolts hold it on fine.... and there's plenty of tube to mount the filter to...

Are these Eibach drag springs? Please help.Pic.

I have the Eibach drag-launch springs and as mentioned above, they are a bright blue color and say "Eibach" on the coils. The plastic pieces inside those springs are definately from stock springs. I think some of Eibach's lowering springs are black, but those don't look like lowering...

Question for those with BBK cold air kit...

I have the BBK fenderwell cold air kit and I think it's pretty crappy, actually. a) The tube that goes into the fenderwell is tacked in two places to the plate that mounts to the wall and one of the tacks broke the day I installed it, so it's barely connected. b) The same plate is supposed...

What do you use to clean your draglites?

Mothers and good old-fashioned elbow grease. I would be interested in something better or easier, but not if it costs too much. Mothers works great and is pretty cheap.

    my draglites wont fit, HELP!!!

I've had to do some inner fender "massaging" before and believe me, the frame can take a beating. If you know the tires rub, then you've obviously driven it and heard it. So now, put it on jack stands, remove the wheels, and you should see marks where it was scraping. Commence to beating...

Installed new guages and now car is beeping at me...

Definately sounds like the airbag warning. If you remove the screws holding the heat/AC control panel and pull it out as far as it'll go, you'll see a light blue box behind it. Squeeze your hand in there and yank the wiring connector from it. That's the airbag computer and the beeping...

Getting draglites but what size tires should I get?

As for the 3.5" fronts, the only street tire that will fit them is the 165R15.... it's a VW bug tire. They're cheap too, $25-$30.

    Fan help QUICK!

The one we put on my bro-in-law's car was kind of loud and if you stood at the the driver's door with the hood open, reached your foot into the car and onto the gas pedal and revved it, the wind from the fan would blow you in the face. It's not loud in my car though... and if you do the same...

    Fan help QUICK!

Exactly! After I had mine I went and bought my brother in law one for Christmas. We realized when we went to put it on, I had bought the standard rotation fan by mistake. DOH! I ruined Christmas!!!! :D p.s. They let me exchange it for the right one, so it all turned out good. :nice:

TIRE RUB against EXHAUST tail pipe?

I had 295/50R15's on Weld 15"x8" with 5.5" backspacing and they rubbed like crazy. This is with Eibach drag-launch springs though, which have lowered the rear a good bit. They rubbed the inner fenderwell AND on the outer lip, mostly when turning or when driving over big dips in the road...

I used a 2" spacer with a stock radiator. This is with my 18" reverse-rotation flex fan. Got all of it at the Auto store... Advance, I think. Fits perfectly. Hope this helps!
