    aod-410's equal 5spd 373's?

My car with a T5 and 4:10 turns about 2300rpm's at 65mph on the highway. That's with 265/50R15's. I don't really drive it on the highway that much, so I'll trade some top-end for all that low-end any day. I don't think anyone has ever meant that a T5 with 3:73 is exactly the same as an...

    aod-410's equal 5spd 373's?

4:10 AOD = 3:73 T5 is exactly what I've always heard. I have 4:10 with my T5 and I love it, so if I ever had an AOD, I'd get at least a 4:30 if not 4:56.

87-93 Locking Gas Door/Cap??Anyone know of one?!!

Neither my old 90' GT nor my current 91' LX had locking fuel door. I didn't even know it existed. Rescently, my brother in law who has a 89' LX asked me if I knew how to fix his locking door. I was like "what do you mean, locking door???" It turned out that his car did have a locking door...

How does a March bracket work?

Yeah, a standard rotation water pump would really be the best for my setup. It would put alot more belt on my WP pulley. I was just on a limited budget when I did it and the standard rotation pump just didn't make it into the project (Ya'll know how that is, I'm sure). The belt isn't on much...

    Hood Pins Placement

I just got the old cheapie Mr. Gasket $8 pins from autozone. I know there are way better ones out there in stainless steel and all, but for $8 I can just go buy more when these get rusty. I've had them for about two years now and they only have a little rust on the hairpin parts. The...

    Questions on my exhaust??

Good! hehehe... :D I figured that's what you meant.

    Questions on my exhaust??

It would probably cheaper to buy a cat-back kit than to buy the flow-tubes, mufflers, and tailpipes seperately. Flowmaster sells the mufflers and tailpipes seperately, but they don't sell flowtubes seperately. Most muffler shop can make you the flowtubes and weld the mufflers to them, but you...

How does a March bracket work?

I've used the March 1460 kit before and I didn't have any slipping or squealing problems. Sounds like either too long of a belt or a weak tensioner if it does. I got the 1465 kit only because it eliminates the big metal bracket that holds the alternator and pulley and gets rid of more stuff...

REPLACING my BUMPER... HOW DO U....

I got the rivets at a regular hardware store. I'm sure places like Lowe's have them too. They make aluminum and steel ones, I got aluminum so they wouldn't rust. I think that's what was in there to begin with anyway. I used a regular rivet gun. Hope this helps.

    traction bars....suspension ?'s

Hey man, what's up! Yeah, I finally took them off. As you'll remember me saying, my traction bars didn't allow the rear sway bar to fit anymore. I finally did try installing the sway bar while the car was on the ground, too.... it didn't work. So I had no front OR rear sway bar on...

    traction bars....suspension ?'s

I just removed a set of traction bars from my car. I bought some Competition Engineering ones from someone on Ebay who had several sets of them backstocked. Comp Engineering doesn't make them anymore for Mustangs, but they do make them for other cars. They are way thicker and stronger...

    Hood Pins Placement

It's an ABCExclusive 4" cowl hood. It fit better than a previous Cervini's hood I had and was much cheaper. Very nice quality and fit. I know Cervini's is good, but the one I had didn't fit all that well. I had to shave it in a couple of places to get it to lay right. This ABC hood...

GT fog light fix killed my car........

Wow jrichker, excellent advice there! :nice: I was just going to mention that i had the same problem after I relocated my battery to the trunk. When I would turn the key, the fuel pump would prime and everything, then when I would bump it over to crank it, it would go click and I would have...

ET Streets won't pass PA inspection will they?

The ET streets have "D.O.T." stamped on the sides. So unless they are old and have been burned out alot where they totally have none of their original tread, they are "supposed" to be 50-state-legal. If they argue with you, just keep showing them the D.O.T. on the tire.

    Hood Pins Placement

The way I did it and the way I think alot of people do it, is to install them in the holes that the front hood bumpers are at....the rubber bumpers with the screw threads under them that are used for raising the height of the hood. Here's how I did it: Just remove the bumpers and install the...

    Brand new FMS shorties

If they are stainless steel, they should be fine. Chrome headers always turn blue from the heat anyway, stainless is better. I painted a set of headers on my old camaro with the high temp paint, like the 1200 degree paint, and they still burned off and corroded. Seems like ceramic coating...

Which exhaust tips with Cobra bumper?

When I converted my LX to GT style I got a Cervini's cobra bumper and I already had Flowmaster LX SS tips on it. The cutouts on the bumper didn't line up with the tailpipes at all. I took it to my friend's muffler shop and we tried to get them to fit a bunch of different ways, but they never...

    which springs to use?

I have a similar setup. I have weld in subframes and Eibach drag launch springs. The subframes will just make the frame stiffer, launch straighter, etc. Your spring delema really just depends on what you want to do with the car. Most guys go one of two ways with thier cars. They either...

    Snowing Inside the mustang

Do you have a sunroof? My old 90 GT had a leak at the sunroof and would leak down to the front of the headliner and appeared to be the windshield. Either way, the headliner will probably have to come out to see exactly where it's coming from. Hope this helps.
