    Aluminum

Aluminum is less rotating mass and therefor more HP to the rear axle, plus they look nice and make great conversation at the car shows. Try to get ones with the Spice U-Joints. HistoricMustang www.historicmustang.com

Wheel and Tire Suggestions? -- 65 Mustang -- PICS!

I would suggest the classic look. American Racing Torque Thrust 7" wide X 15" diameter. With a narrowed rear end you can use the 8 1/2" wide. Both have 3 3/4" backspacing. HistoricMustang www.historicmustang.com

    Drive shaft length

Rotate your drive shaft in the U-joint before paying for a balance. Also, another trick. Apply a hose clamp to the drive shaft and rotate the clamp until the vibration goes away. This could also save some hassle and a few bucks! HistoricMustang www.historicmustang.com

Great observation! That is why some flex is necessary in the early models. My ride was called the "Flexible Flyer". My lowering blocks even have flex built in by using a "polycarbonate"! Happy Motoring! HistoricMustang wwww.historicmustang.com

    Safety: Harnesses and Cage Q's

Good point about the track rules. Speed will determine the set up required by the rule book and what is needed to protect your butt. My car has a pretty good 6 point cage, Simpson 5-points and window net. Pretty comfortable at most tracks but Daytona, Lowes and Atlanta were a totally new...
