    Bad MUFFLERS !!!!

The loud-mouths have no glass or anything for that matter in them to go bad. It's a tube with shell over it.

    Belt Tensioner & Idler Pulley

I changed my idler to one off of an Intrepid. It's 6oz lighter and runs quieter. Oh, and I have about 100 of them laying around, which is really why it went on. It seems the 99-04 idlers and tensioners go bad fairly often. Not difficult repairs.

Cleaning the IAC & MAF questions

Unless you severly overoiled an oiled type air filter, there should never be a need to clean a MAF. The IAB can be cleaned out with brake clean or carb cleaner, then blasted with air to dry it out and knock away any debris that was knocked loose by the cleaner. the TB and EGR valve should...

What size TB for my car?

Almost every car I've tested makes more power, even bone stock, with a 75. There's almost no reason to ever go with a 70 unless class rules or something specifically limit you to that.

What brand of air intake is the best?

Ignore the uninformed. JLT and Tunable Induction will both make good power, as has been dyno proven over and over.

    Intake Plenum

This is a combination of EGR soot and oil from the PCV system. The modular engines pull quite a bit of oil (about 1-2oz. a week is normal) plus the soot from the EGR. You can clean it, but without an oil seperator (and weekly emptying it) and blocking off the EGR it'll just be sooted up...

Plenum/TB setup worthless on nearstock car?

Gladly :D Here's what we got on our '04 GT. It was stock, except for k&n worthless drop-in filter, so the gains are over the 0-1hp it gives. Full article with pics and info here. http://www.stangpro.com/html/articles/dragon.htm

    When braking, the car shaking...

Even new rotors can be warped, and if the pads aren't bedded properly, new pads can instantly trash even new rotors. It's brake related. Have the from rotors checked/replaced and it should be fine. It's not the struts or alignment or any of that if it's fine when you're just rolling.

    Alignment question...

All cars should get a 4 wheel or thrust angle alignment. With a 2 wheel, the front wheels may be offset to the rears and the car will not track straight. Don't let them cheese out and torque after print though, or it'll be useless.

    Factory Service Manual CD

Anything you buy should be 1996-2001, as that's how Ford breaks it down. I just the online version that covers all years so I've never looked into buying one.

    JLT CAI

JLT is pretty good at accurate claims. I'd guess 8-10 to be normal for their kit. DeMolet and JLT are the only ones worth looking at.
