    I don't know too much about the 5.0's, but I have a stock '99 GT with 140K hard miles on it that gets around 25 mpg (highway). I use Mobil 1 and change the oil every 5000. I'll go through about a quart every 5000 miles. Just my .02

    IMHO...If he's bone stock and still has 3.27's and if you can launch--You'll take him up to 60mph. Past 60, he'll go by ya. As been mentioned though, should be a drivers race.
