Issues to whatch for in a 94/95 convertible?

Just a thought- The used car market is going to be "flooded" with a ton of flood damaged cars from Rita/Katrina, if you are looking to buy a used car, even if you don't live in the affected areas of damage you should still be weary. A lot of unscrupulous sellers are taking these flood...

    I want deeepdish...

I believe that Motegi is a brand of American Racing Wheels and that particular model is pretty much the same as their Series 699 rebels (series 399 for the black spokes), the only difference being the different color on the spokes: here's the chrome ones on mine: I liked...

    Block Plate

as far as I know all 302 based blockplates for the T-5 are the same. One note of caution though- do not overtorque the bellhousing to block bolts or you can easily warp the blockplate causing it to hit the flywheel.

    performance button in a saturn

There is another car I've seen with a real "Power" button on it- it's the new BMW M5 and M6s. both have the same powertrain- V10 with a 7speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. With the Power button off the engine "only" produces 400hp but with it on it jumps to 507hp :) Now that's a...

Brake upgrade and keep stock wheels?

I'd say go for it, the 99+ calipers I'm sure you can get them from any local junkyard for cheap, just make sure you get your rotors checked out and turned if necessary before installing the new calipers and pads. With the 2 piston setup of the 99+ brakes will give you more clamping force and...

Need some advice - Automatic to manual swap

Howdy, I've done the AOD-E to T-5 and later the T-56 swap in my car. Hopefully I can help anwer a few questions. The big advantage to getting the D&D close ratio kit is the increased torque capacity, up from the rated 440 lb-ft to 650 lb-ft of torque. As Bimmertech said the final drive...

24lb injector guys, how many miles per tank do you get?

Ernie I have to say you are incorrect about the gear, on my 95 auto GT vert with 17" factory wheels I had a 3.27 gear (original from the factory) before I swapped in the 3.73s and the 6speed. As for my mileage nowadays I'm lucky to get around 160-170 to a tank, but that's with all the fun stuff...

    347 Finally Runs!!!

Congratulations Joe! There's nothing like hearing her crank up for the first time, and knowing the satisfaction that you put her back together. I've been down that road, seeing mine in a million pieces wondering if she'll ever run again, then to be able to get it done by your own hand just makes...
