    Head swap worth 50 HP?

I had a post on a few weeks back about my 92 coupe running out of umphf @ 4600 rpms. Thankfully, some of you guys had some really good ideas about what the problem could have been. I used an engine simulator to compare the actual chassis dyno to a virtual engine dyno and the curves were...

The Official Fox Body Production Number Thread

Well I have a 92 Bimini Blue (k3) coupe 1 of 291, not bad as I've only seen 2 others in the past 10 years... But I'd sure like to have 1 or 2 Ultra Blue (mm) 92 coupes..... Are they still alive or torn for scrap years ago?

My seat violently shaking at fast speeds after 70mph

Darkwriter is right on.... I sold tires for 2 years at a high end tire store and so many times people bought used tires and instantly had problems. The tires wear to the car that they're on and usually have a reason as to why the person who used to own them took them off. My guess is that...

No oiling from rocker on my 331 *VID*

I had the same problem on my first build. I put in the same lifters and had a collapsed one right off the bat. I'd always heard soak them in a jar of oil right side up the day before putting them in, but the guy at the Ford dealership said that didn't do anything. I took the "new"lifters...

    347 Stroker, How to verify?

fill cylinder w/ oil If you really need to know, take a syringe or other measurable dispenser and with the #1 cylinder down fill it with oil. Then turn the motor by hand a few times to clear the cylinder and once its mostly clear, I'd hit the starter a few times with the plug still out...

How many here uses the Cowl grille with the gauge pods built in?

CHEAPLY MADE? I was set on buying the cowl gauge pod until I actually had it in hand... they're flimsy and cheaply made. They were 1/16" thick plastic I think. Do you just put it over your existing cowl or how does that work?

Just Dynoed, runs out of air @ 4650rpm!

so as far as bang for the buck, I think Victor Jr.s are awesome.... Anybody have any doubts?? Look at the difference! I thought I had decent heads. Should I port them?

Just Dynoed, runs out of air @ 4650rpm!

That flow chart & comparison was awesome! Thanks. Think I'm gonna go ahead and gut my cats, then slap on the AFR 185s or Canfields...just need to make sure they'll work with my pistons (SRP forged flat top 331 ci). I can definately run more timing which will add power regardless...

    How many horses(about)?

While my setup is significatly different than yours and mine choked @ 4500, your can use your imagionation (or a straight edge) to see what I's working to. I personally think you'd be looking at about 270 RWHP and 290 torque. 92 Mustang coupe, 331 stroker w/ 10.4:1 compression...

    Cruise Control Stopped Working

Just a long shot, but if these don't work try to start the car without the clutch engaged. My clutch bypass for the cruise was disconnected for the remote start years ago and never reconnected. No cruise...

Got Cam Specs now I have questions! Engine Builders!

If you can get you hands on it, theres a program called Dyno 2000... while its not perfect, it does do a decent job of estimating cam abilities. Use the iterator and you can use your combo to see what adjusting certain cam properties will do to your power curve. (eg. vary your lobe...

Just Dynoed, runs out of air @ 4650rpm!

answering questions I want to use NOS b/c I have 10G's into the motor and I'm tired of dumping money into it to get results. The shop it was dynoed at (dynotuned) in VA Beach wanted to put different heads on it but I almost feel like he was just trying to secure some buisiness. There was...

Just Dynoed, runs out of air @ 4650rpm!

Actually the cats glow red at night, but I have to have them for inspection.. they are new high flows so I guess that's the best I can do? I'd expect more restriction in the shorty headers anyway. As far as the valve float, it would be evident with high RPM's sounding like a rev limiter -...

Just Dynoed, runs out of air @ 4650rpm!

The block is stock bored .030 for the stroker kit. The engine was done professionally by a highly recommended engine builder who changed the springs for the cam, but I don't know the exact weight of them. Something is definately off b/c the curve starts on a downward sloap of torque and...

Just Dynoed, runs out of air @ 4650rpm!

I thought I had my car where I wanted it and a dyno tune would fix everything and give me the top end power I've been craving.... Not so.... The torque was great at 350 ft/lbs @ 4500 rpms and the power curve was on its way to 375 RWHP @ 6000 when around 300 HP @ 4650 something depressing...
