    If you don't want the tires to stick out, you need *more* offset, not less. Offset is the distance between the center of the wheel and the mounting surface. If you get tires that are 40mm wider, you will need 20mm more offset if you want the outer edges of the tire to be in the same place...

    You will fail for the CAI as soon as they see it - unless it has a CARB number on it.

    Should fit fine. They are +50mm offset, which is close to the stock +45mm. 255/45/18 or 285/40/18 tires should fit and would be very close to stock height.

    A little bit - it's more like 3/4" off where I'd like it to be, though. Actually, with the car lowered an inch or so, it just looks like wide tires.
