Round 2, Just bought my first Foxbody

Here in Seattle, I see Foxes with some regularity, but most are beat up 4 bangers. While have a healthy population of nice cars, they mostly only come out in nice weather. On the other hand, we travel up to Vancouver Island every spring for a car show. Up there, Foxes seem to be EVERYWHERE...

Round 2, Just bought my first Foxbody

A stock, 5-speed, little old lady notch is the holy grail for a lot of us. As far as the blue interior and 10-holes go... well, you know what they say about opinions. I'd do fresh sets of tires and headlights, delete the door pockets and drive the bejeebers out of that.

Round 2, Just bought my first Foxbody

Original 93 Cobra's were still 4-lug. 50Resto sells those wheels in an offset that will fit our cars. I have them on my LX. If you take those mudflaps off, please let me know. I'd love to have a set of the original form-fitting pieces laying around. Is it wrong that I got a little chub when...

    Garage workshop setup

Don't be jealous. What you see there is almost 50 years worth of collecting stuff and it took me over 40 years to have the combination of a house of my own and enough disposable income to pull it off. My basic advice would be get all the non-car crap out of the garage, have lots of organized...

    Garage workshop setup

I have a fairly small 2-car garage. It is 19 wide by 23 deep. When I finished it, I bought a 6x6 garden shed at Sears. It's big enough that all the yard stuff fits in there. The garage is strictly for car stuff. For storage, I have a Craftsman Professional floor cabinet and one of their wall...

Who's using new edge GT seats? Pics?

I've had 03 GT seats in my convertible for several years. They bolt directly in, but take a little bit of wiring work to get the power functions working. They do sit noticeably higher, but it isn't an issue for me. The exponential increase in seating comfort is more than worth the trade off...

Just bought my first Foxbody, I think I screwed up big time.

That's the root cause of most problems I read about on all Mustang forums.

    Temp. Issues

The "white wispy smoke" is an indication that you are going to be doing a heater core on your car sooner rather than later. From your description, it sounds like your car was severely neglected. Yes, you should replace the thermostat "just because". Also, I'd bet that your radiator is all...

Space between steering wheel and column cover after column swap

If you're not using an airbag wheel, that would account for it.

Opinions on this part? Anyone buy from this seller in the past?

I'd be leery of a seller with his feedback. Hope it goes smooth.

    What its worth...??

Gen 1 Lightnings had the same GT40 heads as the 93 Cobra. They would be a major upgrade over the stock 86 heads, but you very well could have PTV clearance issues with the flat top pistons in the 86. Realistic value is probably $150-300 depending on condition. Bear in mind that they'd...

Question on removing front headlights and side markers. 93 5.0

I believe that it is the lower nut on the inner lights that has to be accessed from below. It is easiest to take the outer and inner lights out first, then the headlight. Install is reverse of that. I usually start on the outside, since it's the easiest to get to.

Get their phone number off the website and give them a call. This is a very small organization and someone will answer the phone.

http://forums.corral.net/forums/5-0-5-8-engine-tech/649948-found-5-0-f3ze-aa-heads-explorer-rare.html That would be a very nice, streetable combination. Probably 240-250 to the wheels.
