    He may be describing it different but I bet it's the same rattle I get when the engines cold in the AM it's the lifters it's not my timing chain.

    The sound is typical with higher mile mod motors, my wifes 02 does it in the AM but only for about 30 sec, I'm near Clovis and Alluvial. You can take it to Ford but they probably won't do anything but take your $50.

    2HP/33Gal is petty small for continous work like painting. What's more important is how much air it delivers at a given PSI like 4.5 scfm @ 90 PSI. Look for that info before you buy any tools or paint guns or you may end up with tools that take more air than your compressor can support.

    75-78 no problem as long as you get the proper motor mounts. 74 didn't come with a V8 so there are issues you need to deal with like radaitor clearance.

    I don't want to offend anyone, but whoever doesn't get the SSM bars Joeverb is selling but still wants Traction bars. There's a guy named Stumpy that makes great TBs and SFCs specifically for the II. I have both and his work is 2nd to none.
