    Crankshaft Endplay Problem...HELP!

    I tore down my engine to a shortblock today. Reason for this is a h/c/i and carburetion swap. While I was in there i decided to pull off the harmonic balancer....as soon as i put my hands on it i realized i was able to slide the crankshaft front to back like a 1/4 of an inch!!!! This is bad...

    winter = snow

    1985 Jetta GL Diesel = $500 have put 22K on it so far...into it for a clutch, cv joint, starter and exhaust......$1200 total doing all the work myself. Can't beat that. I recommend VW's up to 1994. They are really cheap to maintain and reliable as hell. Front rotors are $9.00/pc lol :banana:

    Good Drag Struts??

    Just to let you know..they are sort of a waste of money....lakewoods are the way to go...i would only go with the expensive tokico's if i was running a coil over/4-link setup. Lakewoods are $40/pc....and you'll be more than happy with em!

    weld wheel question?

    Running 15X10 Draglites with 6.5 B/S. Have Hoosier Quick Time Pro's 28X13.5X15. Fit with no quads, tailpipes rubbed, so i dumped the exhaust before the rear axle. I recommend getting a torch and a BFH (Big Flippin' Hammer) and get ready to heat and beat. After that, spraypaint the inner...

    Help me put together a carburated setup!

    Again...thanks for the great info guys.....i think AFR 185's are the way to go. The TFS's are comperably priced but i like what i read on the afr's. Now as for a carburator, would a Holley 750 DP be way too much carb? Reason I ask is i have one in my garage that came off a SBC. Also if i am...

    M.A. Inspection Sticker

    Let me clarify this once and for all: You say you got "hooked up" for a sticker last year which was when you first registered the car, correct? If that is so, than the sticker should say "ES" under the calander month number on the face of the sticker. This stands for "emissions and safty"...
