    swaping intake tomorrow, question

How clean? Get it as clean as you can and then clean it for another two hours. A tip before you start cleaning... Stuff three paper towels in each intake and exhaust passage. When you are done cleaning, pull the paper towels out and the passages will be clean. John

    swaping intake tomorrow, question

Getting hoses loose Without scratching it up too much, try to slide a small screwdriver in between the hose and the tube that the hose fits over. You aren't trying to pry it off, just breaking the seal. After you work the screwdriver all (or most as something will be in the way) the way...

Maybe... I guess I kind of agree with you but it does suprise me. I would think that things would be overdriven from the start from the factory as it is on the safe side. '93 Cobra water pump pulley? It would be smaller? I am on vacation and don't have to think... Anyone...

Odd transmission gear when powershifting to 3rd...

How did it feel? Did it seem like you had to pull it out of that wierd neutral gate and get it back into the real neutral so you could find a gear? I am almost scared to powershift her car. The black one. The red one doesn't have a trans and the yellow one will take it... John

    Slow To Idle Down???

Common problem... This is common. As it was explained to me, the time to decrease to base idle is a function of how much air is stored in the throttle body relative to how much air is needed for base idle. If you go to a larger throttle body, it takes more time to get to base idle. Happened...

Rear end vibration GONE--- it was the dogbone!!!

Convertible Weight The convertible weight is tuned to reduce shake in your convertible. I removed mine for the weight save as a little shake doesn't bother me, won't hurt the car in any way and will take weight off in the right place. Ford term - "Flobber Dobber" in case you wondered...

Rear end vibration GONE--- it was the dogbone!!!

Dogbone? This is the first time I have heard of the axle damper (9 lb weight) called a dog bone. Believe it or not, the official Ford slang term for this weight is "donkey balls" and it is tuned to the 2.73 axle. The closer you get to 3.00, the more issues you will have with NVH because of...

160 thermostat and pulley measurements Instead of pictures, can you give me diameters of the crank pulley and waterpump pulley? I will measure mine as soon as the rain stops. Cool - Lightning everywhere. I will never learn to come in out of the rain... Why is a 160 thermostat too cold...

    CCRM Or The PCM?

CCRM - Where are you??? Somebody did move the CCRM to the RH fender under the airbox. I removed the airbox and replaced it with a K&N some time ago and realized just now that the wire mesh on the K&N rubbed through the Yellow pin 10 and Green w/ Orange pin 21. I fixed the problem. I will let...

Ok, Fan is fixed. Did it work??? Sort of. The fan is on high speed all the time if the switch is on. I hid it in the engine compartment so nobody would mess with it by accident. Now for how it worked... The stock (I know - Crap gage) gage will climb on initial startup with the engine...

Found the CCRM. Now Grounding #17? Found the CCRM. It is underneath the air cleaner on the RH frame rail. Now for grounding pin #17, do I cut the wire going into pin #17 of the CCRM? If so, then I ground the wire going into pin #17? Much easier than the relays that everyone else...

Ground the #17 wire? Sounds great but... I can't find my CCRM. It is supposed to be mounted to the bracket that supports the top of the overflow bottle but my bracket has a slot in it (for the bottle) and two holes for 8mm bolts that attach the bracket to the top of the rad support. No...

Missing air deflector The plastic air deflector has been missing ever since I have owned the car. My trouble is really cooling around town and at idle. If I am at speed on the freeway, the car cools fine. I will look for a deflector and add it.
