    an easier way to check them would be to remove the 02 sensors and see if the car runs any cooler.doesn't require any drilling or gauges to check.i have the gauge but by the time i need to check a converter you don't need the gauge,it's totally gone.

    thanks,that helps some.my problem is that since i've did the rear disc setup it's started to get hot.it has already melted the wrap on my hose and i'm trying to run the lines as close to factory as i can.

    it still could have the 4cyl springs in it.mine had the 4cyl springs and 7.5 rear under it when i got it.it didn't sit very low or ride that bad.also the 7.5 will take abuse.i ran mine at the dragstrip a few times before i swapped it for an 8.8,it never came apart,i just wanted rear discs and posi.

    some manual trannys are.i remember putting one in a mid 90s dakota that was vented.if you plug the vent off you won't notice anything until you pull the plug out.you better have safety glass's on.
