    Fuel gauge/sender

    Maybe the float has a hole in it and gas is getting in. Happened on my new sending unit. Take it out and try drowning it in water. If it takes in water there's your problem. Replace with a brass one if possible. That's what I did cause my plastic got the hole.

    Just make sure you have absolutely no oil leaks. Even slight drips with conventional will turn into big runs with synth. I was running it in my '66 with a 5.0L and I switched back to conventional cause I was losing oil. For whatever reason Synthetic is really good at finding places to leak out of.

    I believe the export brace will fit if he uses the lowering mounts by RMP. I have them on my car and have yet to install my GT40 intake/EFI setup but it looks like with the drop mounts it will just fit in there.

    the '96 either has GT40 or GT40-P heads. If it's the P heads you're in trouble because headers aren't made for your car. If they're the GT40's you're in great shape cause they're the best. Ford stopped putting the E7's in the explorers in '94 I think. Not 100% sure though.

    Painless vs. American Autowire Chassis Wiring Harnesses

    They're suggesting it cause it's plug and play whereas with painless or this other brand you will have to install it and cut/solder/crimp it all together. I installed the Painless in mt '66 and would recommend them to anyone. Directions and tech support were all extremely helpful.
