Fox More high dollar Fox Mustangs

You are exactly right. You can double your money in 10 years of invested correctly. 15k investment is worth 30k at 10, 60k at 20 and 120k at 30. Joe

I am almost positive that's the same car that was up for sale north of Atlanta a few years back. That owner was asking around $24k for it then. To me that is the best of the foxbodies right there, but you couldn't enjoy driving it. Joe

Fox The aged old question "trickflow 170/58 or afr165/58"

I like AFR's, but either head is good. There is a member on here with AFR 165, ported cobra and custom cam who makes around 330rwhp, but I can't recall his user name. I don't usually jump on the have to have custom cam band wagon, but considering you may be limited by the ptv clearance, I would...

Build Thread 1978 Mercury Cyclone. The pig is in the pen.

I think there is always the question as to what is from machine work and what is from the engine eating itself. When I built mine I had metal shavings in the filter on first change. I kinda did like Mike and said if it's going to go it's going to go and just drive it. 8 years and 12k miles...

If you notice, most people on here who accomplish a lot either have no children yet or their children are nearly grown and out of the house. For those of us in family stages of life, oh well.... Joe

Just put an EcoBoost in it if you want it to be different. I have quietly questioned your sanity/desire for this engine from the beginning, but you are crazy to scrap an entire project over a bad engine. Could a sbf really be all that bad? Joe

Sorry if I missed it, but have you verified that the plug is actually firing? My next guess would be to ask if it is fuel fouled or if it is oil(valve seal)? Joe

For a noid light, use an old socket holder and a 912 bulb, or 921, whatever it is. Works really well. Joe

New Here Looking For Some Great Advice!

Talk to a machinist. Some things you can do already, but some will be dependent on your rotating assembly. Things such as piston to wall clearance and deck height can/will be determined by your rotating assembly, as well as the possibility of notching the bottom of your cylinder walls for rod...

    New radiator, still overheating

That fan is a pusher, which side of the radiator do you have it mounted to? Like stated above, way too small. Would need two at the cm that thing pulls. Really need to be somewhere around 2500cfm to cool it well. My 331 has a stock style replacement radiator with dual fans from a contour...

F4TE is a roller block, meaning GB ut accepts factory roller lifters. That block is an older block, before that time. Joe

the Ranchero disaster & Brand X update

I paid $2k for a 14x30x4" parking pad recently, 4000 psi. Feel like it was a bit steep, but out of 3 contractors I called, only 1 showed up, and he was 3 days late. Joe

Lol, actually I started my own towing and recovery service. Hours are long but it is very rewarding working for yourself and the money is definitely better. Very little time for drag racing anymore. Sorry for the derail....back to the regularly scheduled program. Joe

Mike, for once I agree with you, somewhat. I think we should always honor those who have served unselfishly, whether over seas or here in our community. I will say that he is not the only one to do this type of thing though. Obama allowed the White House to project purple lights in honor of...
