How is the humidity down there, lol? We could hang our swimsuits up in the room and they would still be wet the next day. Joe

    TFS 11R 170 Heads on a 331?

Yeah, tough as in you WILL NOT hear the man's voice unless you are some type of repeat customer. I did a 331 with afr 185s, the Holley intake and one of his cans. It does run well for what it is. I think you will like the results. Joe

    TFS 11R 170 Heads on a 331?

I am with the others, the Holley is hard to beat. I would also buy the biggest heads I could within reason. Again, the kit you posted will run just fine, there is just more power to be made. Joe

    TFS 11R 170 Heads on a 331?

The heads will work good for a 331. The cam is pretty mild for a stroker setup. The intake is not bad, but there are better in my opinion. Although, there is really nothing wrong with any of those parts and they will work fine together. Joe

    Welder Question

Around here a new 40 bottle filled is about $300. The refills are not bad, but the tanks are expensive. The guy at our local store told me to find one used that had no rust, oitting or dents and he would certify it for $20. I bought a full 40 bottle of craigslist for $200. Haven't had to...

    Aftermarket head question

Ok, so to jump in on this. I have seen several post regarding the twisted wedge heads not clearing an inline valve relief piston. This just isn't true. While I run AFR heads, there are tons of documented cars running the TFS heads on inline pistons. The new 11r's have so much clearance that...

    Welder Question

I think the lotos usually retails around $499 on Amazon. I had been looking at them for about 6 months when I got an alert in my prime account that it was on sale for 24hrs at $349 with free shipping. It was a no brainer at that point. Joe

    Welder Question

I bought the one Mike has based on his previous post a few years ago. Does everything I need it to do. Rated to pull a max of 27 amps and I have mine on a 30 amp breaker. Joe

Question for the 4-digit hp crowd

@84Ttop (must have wrong screen name there) is who comes to mind with this question. He was a 400"+ motor with a vortech, but pretty sure it went over 1400rwhp at its peak. I know that doesn't answer your question, but maybe someone to reach out to. Joe Edit: looks like the screen name took.

I have to ask....why are you looking for another fox when you just sold a pretty nice one with lots of time and effort already in it?

On plotting? I bought a baseline suspension relocated upper, j&m perch adjustable lowers, stock gt springs. Got in touch with Kevin slaby (owner of baseline) and followed his advice and directions on his website on plotting the rear end. Night and day difference at the track, dropped. 25 off...

I had a set of 555r's, which were a huge improvement for the street and a nice balance. They still can't hold their own at the strip though. Joe

Weight helps, suspension parts help, tires help, but none of it works if you don't have the suspension plotted correctly. I went through the parts buying and swapping but never got it to work until I plotted the suspension and made it work. Joe

    Looking for Idea/advice on build

Scat makes a quality entry level product, in my opinion. I run their 331 9000 kit and have been for about 8 years. Joe
