    power adder or massive trq? hp alone isnt the real killer of the blocks. if you put up huge trq numbers or are doing some sort of power adder that will take the longevity way down

    if you plan on going bigger later...then get those heads. if you plan on just doing a couple mods and keeping it relatively tame go with something like the aformensioned afr's. if you have a power adder on the horizon, do the roush heads def!

    helicoil it. had the same prob when i got a set of gt40's and didnt check the threads. ended up helicoiling it. but you can do it with the heads on the car. just make sure you get it in straight and not at an angle. u can use the header flange as a gude if necessary to get the preliminary hole...

    search..... 500hp and your pushing it then, throw a power adder and your living on a prayer. some make it a while, others go for a long time. you never know. a prepped dss block is te best for the long haul though

    help with valve ticking.

    how low? i knoticed my engine start ticking when my oil pressure was low, ended up being a lifter broke and the roller slammed through my blok...not to worry you... my needle was below the midway mark though....but would go to 3/4 when i got going
